I was working in Boca and would have had to do a late night check-in. I called to let them know and they told me that if I did not check in in person by 5pm they had to give my room away. I pleaded with them to check me in over the phone and wanted to give them my credit card information to pay for it which they refused.
Their reasoning was because I booked through a third-party site. They forced me to leave my work event that I flew into town for to drive two hours in traffic to check in in person where all they did was take my CC and ID. I was excited to stay at this hotel because it is in a great location and close to family I wanted to visit so I felt I had no other option. The manager had no sympathy for me and I did not feel like a welcomed guest because of this awful customer service situation.
Secondly I did not have my room cleaned once in the 3 days I stayed there. Once I called on day two they informed me that I had to put the sign on my door which I did. Arrived late on my final night to my room the way that I had left it. So in the customer service department this place gets zero stars.
The positives are great location, comfortable bed, pool and beach access are perfect.
WiFi is 4/10
Continental breakfast looked terrible didn’t try.
Clearly this hotel leans on the fact that it is in a historic part of Miami Beach. Would not stay again
