Le Ragnaie

The website really makes this place look rustic and lovely when instead it's pretty basic. Super uncomfortable beds with a couple of cheap linens thrown on there. It was quite hot when we were there and the rooms were unbearably stuffy and the AC unit did absolutely nothing and we had three nights of terrible sleep. The shower in our room was pretty run down and awful. Good luck finding any amenity other than soap in the room. Calling the staff unaccommodating would be an understa**ent. Unclear why they open it up to guests as it seems like the don't enjoy having them there and don't want to do anything to enhance their experience. I am a somm and the place was recommended to me by a somm. Wish I could give a review of their wines, but was not able to taste anything. We emailed in advance and were told they do not do tastings during harvest and we should check when we arrived. We did and were told to check with a gentleman the next day. When we did that, we were asked if we had an appoin**ent which had not been mentioned the previous day. We were told they had no appoin**ents available. We then watched the tasting room be completely empty the remainder of our stay. We also tried to buy wine but were told by the reception that they could not ring us up for any wine. I would have been happy to ship a case home without having tried it as it came highly recommended. There seemed to be no scenario where we could give them money to purchase wine and have it shipped. I finally got tired of trying and bought two cases at a different winery. Breakfast was pretty perfunctory. I'm sad we missed out on staying somewhere small and personable. Really seems that they should not be in the business of being open to guests.

The property was beautiful and the views were breathtaking. Very clean and convenient. The bed and linens were comfortable and clean. The room had a kitchen and a balcony to enjoy the gorgeous views of the Tuscan landscape.

Extremely bad communication with the host. Shame on the owners. The rest, the location is ok, the breakfast is very empty and monotonous. Strangely, it was great in other locations. The rooms are large but old and extremely cold. We were with the children who froze.

This is a beautiful place in the vineyards.

I was very excited about our stay at this agriturismo but was a bit let down by the property itself. We stayed at a total of ten hotels during our trip to Italy and this was my least favorite. The previous agriturismo we lodged at was incredible and packed full of flowers and wildlife, this one was a slightly run down property with a small vineyard behind. The pool was not well kept and the rooms were minimal. The AC did not work well so it was hard to sleep at night. This is as an affordable hotel so it may be a case of “you get what you pay for”. Montalcino is a little less luxe than it’s neighboring regions in general. I would recommend opting for village stay over a farm stay in this Case. The highlight of our stay was catching a beautiful sunset, which was visible from the property.

…un posto fantastico!!…premetto che io ho visto solamente di passaggio questo fantastico posto “Le Ragnaie”!!…nei pressi di Montalcino!!…durante il mio percorso di trekking in questa zona!!…l’accompagnatore Francesco, che ci ha fatto da quida per vari giorni in Val d’Orcia!!…ci ha fatto passare di qui!!…e così ho visto questo agriturismo “Le Ragnaie”!!…completamente immerso nella natura!!…e che natura!!…panorami spettacolari della Toscana!!…si dice che hanno anche dei vigneti non distanti dalla struttura e anche la cantina!!…sicuramente un agriturismo da tener presente se si vuole soggiorno in questa zona della Toscana!!…un vero paradiso!!…”Le Ragnaie”!!…

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo agriturismo all inizio di ottobre... ottima posizione a 5 min di auto da montalcino...il nostro era un piccolo appartamento con ingresso indipendente composto da soggiorno con piano cottura ( presenti stoviglie per chi desidera mangiare li), camera da letto e bagno spazioso dotato di vasca da bagno...il tutto arredato nello stile rustico ma accogliente tipicamente toscano... La colazione abbastanza varia con dolci fatti in casa...mi ha colpito il fatto che il caffè viene servito usando la tipica moda di casa..un po caro.. consigliato!

O site realmente faz com que este lugar pareça rústico e encantador, quando em vez disso é bastante básico. Camas super desconfortáveis com alguns lençóis baratos jogados ali. O chuveiro do nosso quarto era horrível. Boa sorte em encontrar qualquer comodidade além de sabonete no quarto. Não está claro por que eles o abrem para os hóspedes, pois parece que não gostam de tê-los lá e não querem fazer nada para melhorar sua experiência. A limpeza do quarto era terrível, não limpavam nada , só entravam para trocar as toalhas, não havia reposição nem de sabonete e as toalhas eram velhas. Na mesa da cozinha havia uma toalha mofada com uma aranha enorme, que tiramos e quando chegamos no café da manhã fomos abordamos pelo funcionário da recepção de maneira grosseria que não podíamos ter tirado a toalha. Atitude muito mal educada, nenhuma hospitalidade. O café da manhã era bastante superficial, um ambiente com funcionários mal treinados nos preparos da refeição e mal educados. Estamos triste por termos perdido a oportunidade de ficar em um lugar pequeno e agradável. A beleza natural e a vista é maravilhosa, mas Realmente parece que eles não deveriam estar abertos aos hóspedes.
