I really loved my 2 nights stay. It’s a beautiful hotel, perfect location and has a breathtaking view. Especially from the breakfast room! Stunning. Breakfast was amazing, so much variety and the food was beautiful. The waiters were lovely and provided excellent service. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the main centre of Monterosso, which was great as it would’ve been too noisy staying in there with all the crowds. The hotel provided a free taxi service to pick me up when I arrived at the station which I really appreciated. It also has easy access to the path to hike the 5 towns of Cinque Terre if you wish to. My room had everything I needed and was nice and clean, and I would love to stay at this hotel again. Thank you.

The best hotel we could ever stay at from the gorgeous balcony to the exceptional food and staff! My husband and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and we absolutely couldn’t have found a better hotel to stay! The staff was top notch, the scenery out of this world and the people so friendly, kind and helpful! We’ll be back with our young adult kids next year and staying at this beautiful hotel! What an amazing place to stay for vacation in Cinque Terre!! The staff is so helpful and so nice. It is truly a 5-star luxury hotel. The rooms are clean and the location up on the hill is magnificent. We especially want to thank a special staff member named Peter who is a bartender at the hotel bar & by the pool. Peter is so much fun and made such a good atmosphere for our family! Good employees are the absolute best at places like this and Peter is one of them! Thanks again Peter!!

We stayed three nights here in the recommendation of a friend. This hotel is situated overlooking Monterroso Al Mare. Has a great pool with an ocean view. We stayed in a cottage with our own private deck which we enjoyed tremendously for our own private happy hour on evening. It’s a short walk up and down the hill when you want to go into the town but as a result, you feel like you’re far away from any tourists. The staff was incredibly kind and gracious with a special shout out to Albert, Tommaso, and Jarek. The hotel also provide la complementary taxi shuttle to the train station upon arrival and departure. The restaurant is actually pretty nice as we’ ate there on our last night due to the torrential rains and so we didn’t want to go down to the town. Would definitely stay here again as a base of operations in Cinque Terre. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at the Hotel Porto Roca!! They sent a complimentary taxi to get us from the train station. Showed us to our beautiful room with an amazing view from the balcony & brought us a bottle of champagne & 2 glasses to celebrate our anniversary! Even had slippers for us to wear. The restaurant has a fantastic view, food was excellent, breakfast spread HUGE! The only downside is walking up to the hotel…the climb is steep and very narrow. But doable and there’s a gate onto the hiking path to Vernazza which cuts off some extra steps. Overall, this hotel was worth every penny! We did not swim in the pool but it is lovely & quiet!

What a fantastic hotel in a fantastic town in the Cingue terre. This hotel is a perfect base to explore the other 4 wonderful towns. From the moment we arrive the welcome was superb, from the reception staff, the lovely lady that maintained our room (211) and amazing breakfast staff. All of whom greeted us daily with big smiles and enthusiasm. The pool area is lovely,very well maintained and such a relaxing area before any hikes or visits to other towns. Breakfast was also faultless with so much choice with great service. Monterosso itself is a fantastic place to stay, every person we came across in bars/restaurants were so friendly no matter how busy they were (and they were busy) I can not wait to return and Hotel Porto Roca will definitely be the place we will return too. Thank you.

The view is insane. Room had a balcony overlooking the ocean. Bed is insanely comfy. Just imagine yourself drinking aperol spritz and having the time of your life. PS One of the reception staff guys was so cute ;)

We are a well traveled couple and absolutely loved this hotel. We stayed four nights. I was afraid it might be too long but we loved having some down town to enjoy the beautiful pool area. We had a jr. suite and loved the balcony and the view!! It was a great base to see the other villages. After visiting them all we were so happy we chose Monterosso as our base. The ferry is within walking distance and easy to use. We loved sightseeing during the day and then coming back to our small paradise. The walk to and from town is a bit challenging. We are fit and in our late 50's so it didn't bother us - but, I could see this being an issue if you have any physical limitations. The staff all were friendly and attentive. The only downside was the amount of smoking from the clientele. We are non-smokers so didn't enjoy that part. We did a wonderful full day boat day right from the harbor in town. We did not use the beach area because we loved the pool, but it looked really fun! Thank you so much to all the employees that made this a wonderful vacation!!
