Ylang Ylang Beach Resort

Ylang Ylang is so fun, the food there is really good, the staff are so friendly, the beach is amazing, the activities/experiences they provide are top notch; don’t book anything in town/at a separate place without speaking to the Yang Ylang front desk first because the tour companies they have relationships with are top notch. Definitely go to Tortuga Island! Definitely book a horse back ride (make sure you bring a backpack to put your breakfast burritos and water in there! And wear sunscreen/cover up from the sun!) The spa at ylang ylang is really nice; located up a hill in the trees; it’s very peaceful. They also have yoga sessions everyday. I can’t wait to come back to this place. I cried when I had to leave. It’s beautiful there.

We went to Ylang Ylang for a family Thanksgiving trip. The resort was beautiful and well kept. Our transport and excursions were arranged thru the resort and everything was great. Our shuttle to the resort arrived later than expected and the restaurant kindly stayed open until we arrived so we could have something to eat, much appreciated! The pool was wonderful, very refreshing and beautiful. We enjoyed watching the wildlife as well. Beach access was awesome and the walk to town was quick. Our only issue was the fact that the resort ran out of ice cream and we couldn’t enjoy the delicious ice cream desserts and shakes the last few days of our trip. The food was fresh and delicious although after a week there we wanted other choices. I do think the children’s menu could be upgraded a bit. My daughter had a hard time finding something she liked, she tends to be very picky anyway. The rooms were cute and had beautiful views, a little outdated but clean. It was nice to have air conditioning but could be hard to find a comfortable temp at night. The staff was exceptional, friendly and inviting!

If you are looking for an adventure somewhat off the beaten path this is the place! Setting from our porch we saw monkeys and many other animals. I cannot say enough about the staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Food was delicious! we only ate at the restaurant on premises. It was that good. you have several options for rooms. We started in Dome 7 which was quite an hike on an incline. most of the domes are reachable without an incline. The tree house is up high but you would expect that being called the tree house. It does not take away from my 5 star rating but it would be good to note on the website that Dome 6&7 has a steep incline. It would not be a problem for any young person but us being older it was not something we wanted to do several times a day. we did move to a Cabana which was just as nice but on a lower level. The website does state you need a 4x4 to park at the resort. part of the path to the resort is across the beach. we had no issues with a 4x4. The scenery here is beautiful! we also booked 2 tours and a spa treatment. all were excellent! The restaurant grilled our fish and it was perfect. I cannot express enough the welcoming you receive from the staff! THANKS for a great week.

We stayed at Ylang Ylang in 2004 and always wanted to go back, finally made it back March 2024. We were so happy to find it had only improved. Such a great place to relaxes and explore. There was wildlife all around us and super lucky to see a turtle laying her eggs on the beach below our room. It was magical. We hope to be back in the next few years!!

As always, we had an amazing vacation at Ylang Ylang! Our favorite destination in Costa Rica 🇨🇷!! A spectacular location and a staff that is impeccable....we shall return, again and again!😊 We stayed 3 weeks, and every moment was enjoyable.....the beach bungalow, the spa, the pool, and the restaurant offers a wonderful, healthy menu, with a service staff that will spoil you!!

We have just finished a stay at Ylang Ylang for our honeymoon. Everything was more than we ever could have hoped for. The food, staff, pool, views, and activities that were organized for us were all amazing and everything was so smooth. We will definitely be back. We wouldn’t have left if we had a choice! This place is great. The employees are amazing food is off the charts and the surroundings are spectacular. I've been coming here for over 18 years. It has not changes a bit. The only thing for family bungalows is that the rooms are noisy. You can hear all your neighbors, but it is the nicest location as far as I'm concerned and the rooms are large. Great for families. If possible, you could rent two cabins that are right next to each other. I cant say enough good things about this place. It's magical

Very comfortable beds and a beautiful view from our hut. We loved the journey from town to the hotel in the courtesy buggy and the food was excellent- much of which is organic… Great beach and walk along the coast… the waves are rough but good fun.
