We will NEVER again book with a 48-hour advance notice for cancellation because of this location. The front desk person was very nice & she did offer us another room, but the condition of the room we saw was so bad, so degraded, it wasn't worth the bother. The doors to the kitchenette cabinets were barely hanging on. Mildew & mold around the bath tub. Open hole in the wall for the toilet pipe. While the beds were tidy, the floors were obviously stained. The smell was dank & strong. The toilet backed up with the first flush.
It was just grimy.
We submitted a request for refund, but doubt we'll get our money back. In any event, based upon the other reviews of other hotels in the area, we just drove on & left Montgomery behind after we went to the Memorial for Justice & Peace - which is advertised NO WHERE in that town - and that was Fabulous. What an experience.
Most memorials are just - well - a statue here, a plaque there. This memorial is humanity. It is a remembrance. Just stunning - highly recommend.
