Daffodale House B&B

This place was absolutely wonderful. Kathy and Scotty Are so welcoming, And scottie has some of the best stories ever. The beds were very comfortable We had the steak dinner and it was made perfectly. The tour that Scotty does is also very interesting and informative. I already have another reservation in June.

As the Daffodale House comes into view you know you have found something special. The host Scotty and Kathy make you feel right at home. After touring the wonderful town of Monticello, we were ready for a little bit of relaxation. After walking through the beautiful property, we had worked up a little appetite, we had chosen steak for dinner and we were not disappointed. Kathy is a wonderful cook. Scotty and thrilled us with his captivating stories of the house and his adventures. And gave us a wonderful tour of the house. After dinner, we went to relax on the gorgeous porch and met some of our fellow guests, who all were wonderful people. It was such a relaxing place by the end of the night you felt like you had friends instead of strangers. At the end of our evening, we went to our room for the night . I’m just gonna say the bed in the room was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. We were lulled to sleep by a southern thunderstorm to end the perfect evening . When we woke the next morning and went downstairs, you could smell the enticing aroma of breakfast that was being made by Kathy and she can cook!! The next time you are traveling through or spending some time in the area, please spend some time at The Daffodale House! Thank you, Scotty and Kathy for a wonderful time. Barbie

Excellent meals. Mahi mahi and ravioli. Dessert was excellent also. Oreo cake. The host and hostess were kind , welcoming, flexible with our dinner reservation The bed was comfortable however in the carousel room there is a lot of road noise so if you’re a light sleeper beware. Overall excellent stay. Our first b&b experience.

Delicious rib eye steak dinner and breakfast. Room was very clean but a bit noisy due to street traffic at night. This is an historic home and not sound proof from adjacent room. Overall a pleasant stay and a new experience for us.

We stopped into the Daffodale House for afternoon tea. Everything about the experience was wonderful. Cathy was very accomodating when making the reservation, as we were traveling through town and required a later-than-normal tea time. We were warmly greeted upon entering and found our table ready, complete with first course and full teapots. The homemade tea treats were just delicious! The croissant sandwich was a favorite... and the scones were fantastic. The house is lovely and filled with all sorts of interesting antiques. We showed some interest in the ghost tour which led us to meeting Cathy's husband, Scott. He walked us through a few of the rooms and readily discussed his collection of antiques, all the while being thoroughly entertaining. We could not have enjoyed ourselves more and look forward to returning when we are in the area.

Simply by chance, my wife and I decided to stay overnight at the Daffodale House B&B on our way to the World Equestrain Center in Ocala to see our niece perform. Can't tell you how glad we were that we stopped at this one of a kind home! Cathy & Scott are the epitome of gracious hosts. While Cathy provided us the best dinner and breakfast that you could ever ask for, Scott was there to take us through the myriad of artifacts that are throughout the home, and the history behind their acquisition. Truly a magical night for us and an experience we will never forget. From the terrific meals, to the unique rooms, to the fascinating conversation, Cathy & Scott have put their hearts and souls into making this a memorable stay for their guests, and they have autographed each facet of this home with loving care.

What can I not say about the amazing B&B and the wonderful couple that own it. We opted for the tour which is worth its weight in gold. Scotty is so funny and Cathy is an amazing cook. This place is filled with such charm.

The hosts of the Daffodale house were wonderful. We took the trip to Monticello Florida because we come from Monticello New York. Imagine our surprise when the host was familiar with our Monticello.btge room was quirky and comfortable. The food both dinner and breakfast outstanding. Cathy is a marvelous cookb. I had mahi mahi, my husband the rub eye sreah both cooked to perfection and more than enough.bsvott entained us with his stories of our Sullivan county in New York.bbithvscottvand Cathy were great and very hospitable. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone in the area and even to make a special trip to see the place. you won't be disappointed.
