Stayed one night (a public holiday) on our way back to the Tunnel - Montreuil is a favourite town in this region. Pieux is a conciously cool establishment, a stylish conversion of a lovely town house, very closely convenient for the Grand Place, and its extensive free parking, and part of a group of hospitality establishments in the town. Our bedroom was in the roofspace, very comfortable (standalone bath, good sized-shower) and shared the generally dark decorative style of the house. Breakfast was excellent, in a lighter morning room. It's not a permanently manned place, and this led to some confusion about checking in. NB there is also an odd (by modern norms) cash-only policy for payment, which caught us out on departure (considering we'd been told on checking in that we could pay by card). Not an inexpensive room, but you are paying for style - and the location is certainly very advantageous. Dining out was difficult being a public holiday (a couple of notable places refused us as walk-ins) but the Grand Place cafe nearby belongs to the same owner, is purely walk-in, had a good atmosphere and served a good meal.
