Mayfield on Montville

Awesome accommodation, the view is beautiful with large balcony. The room was very clean and large, with a large bathroom with shower and spa bath. If you have issues with stairs this is not the place for you. The only downfull was the stair area was dirty and smelly and our balcony had not been clean. This is why 4 stars 🌟 Its a stunning area with an awesome restaurant accross the road and a yummy Cafe below,also lots of shop's.

Very clean and lovely big rooms. Bed was too firm for us and no air con in the bedroom, but lovely location and amazing views.

The property was amazing, the view was stunning, and the location was perfect. Our only criticism would be the shower head. Other than that, it was amazing 9.9 out of 10

Great directions and clear communication prior to stay. Friendly staff. Very clean and tidy. Large amount of space. Stunning views. Very very quiet at night and so very peaceful. Beautiful place to get away.

Right in the heart of Montville on main street, this place is great for a quick weekend away and is a great way to just get away from the busy Brisbane life. Shops and cafes are all just a stroll away and you cannot fault the view. We stayed in the street view apartment and just spent a few hours people watching. The pub across the road had Christmas in July on which made for an amazing after sunset view with the fairy lights etc.

NEVER AGAIN WILL WE STAY HERE ! One of the worst experiences we have had in Montville! It was our 25th wedding anniversary so we wanted it to be a quiet romantic weekend away . It was far from it !!!!! Firstly , no mention ANYWHERE about the 5 flights of stairs from the carpark to the room , No lift at all ! Too bad if you are not good with stairs !!! The room was old and dated, the mattress was appalling , The shower was mouldy . The carpet was dirty and dated . The spa … YUCK!!! The airconditioning desperately needs a deep clean - it stunk , as did the weird second “room” with only a cupboard and a laundry tub - ???? We have NO idea how it passed council inspections as the walls are paper thin - we could hear EVERYTHING the people in the next room were doing and saying - but scarily that also means there is NO fire rating between the units !!!! There is no additional ventilation in the bathroom - no windows - no exhaust fan ! Also illegal I think 🤔… And to top it all off , when we were leaving we were asked how was our stay - deceivingly marketed as luxurious and private 😱 The mangers wife proceeded to abuse us and tell us we were imagining it !!!! Don’t waste your money - at $300 a night there are much much better options !!!!

For $300 a night the only thing that made it worth it was the view. The first thing I noticed as I walked in is that the cleaners didn't wipe the kitchen bench. There were crumbs and drink marks all over it. The actual apartment is huge but very dated, a bit smelly and has no soul. The view is incredible but was spoiled by a chainsmoker on the balcony/apartment next door. The guy didn't stop fagging from 6am onward. It meant I had to keep the doors shut the whole time I was there. NO INTERNET? I wasn't aware of that and had to use my phone as a hotspot the whole time. You are right above The Edge restaurant, I don't know whether it was exceptionally noisy because it was easter , but you will hear the noise of conversations and plates/drinks clinking all lunch time. The stairs coming up to the apartment from the road is difficult to drag luggage up. Especially if you are bringing it up from the underground carpark which is another couple of flights of stairs. The underground carpark where I was told to keep my car - my car was vandalised twice. The window wipers were put up and a note put on my car reading 'This is NOT a carpark'. It did not feel safe to leave my car under there. I wouldn't recommend nor stay again. For $300 a night they could renovate each apartment one by one with nicer furnishings and give it a more homely feel.Also ban the smoking - YUCK!
