The hotel's location is excellent, right across from the station exit. You can take the underground passage up to find a Lawson convenience store, and the hotel reception is directly behind the convenience store's back door – though you'll need a room key to access it. The room was clean and tidy, everything was quite satisfactory, and the price wasn't expensive. It's very suitable for business travelers.

Every time I pass through Morioka, this time I decided to stay overnight for the Morioka Sansa Festival. The hotel is right opposite the station and very close to Kaiun Bridge. They assigned us the largest room on the floor, and the kids were thrilled. The room had three beds, and the toilet and shower (with a bathtub) were in completely separate compartments, which was excellent. The Sansa Festival was very unique and enjoyable.

Richmond Hotel Morioka Ekimae boasts an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from Morioka Station via an underground passage, making transportation incredibly convenient. Downstairs, there's a 24-hour convenience store, making it easy to grab anything you need. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff are warm and attentive. It's also a short walk to Kaiun Bridge and the shopping district, making it super convenient for sightseeing and dining. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Morioka.

Thw location is excellent! Just near Morioka Station. Very convenient. Staff is super friendly. Room space is very big. Very clean. There is combini store just on the first floor. Amenities is also pretty good! Thank you very much!

Our second stop on this East Japan trip was Morioka. The hotel is right across from the station, but I didn't dare cross the road because there was no pedestrian sidewalk. So, I took the underground passage instead. Since it was my first time there, I wasn't familiar with the area and had to carry my suitcase up the stairs. Luckily, there weren't too many steps. I actually didn't have high hopes for this hotel, but it turned out to be surprisingly good! The service was excellent, and it's conveniently connected to a Lawson convenience store; you can enter the hotel directly with your room key. I heard the breakfast was good, so I bought one day's worth to try it out. It was 2600 JPY per person, and breakfast started at 6:15 AM. The Japanese really wake up early – there was already a queue before it even opened! The single room was very spacious, and the soundproofing was excellent. The price was also very reasonable. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Morioka.

Located just opposite Morioka station, walking distance to Fortune bridge. The hotel provided amenities for kid and also serves nice breakfast.

Stayed 2 nights at Richmond Hotel Morioka and had a very comfortable stay ✨ The room was spacious, and the bed and pillows were comfortable for a good night’s rest. I also loved that the bathtub was long enough to relax comfortably even for my height. Convenient location near Morioka Station, making it easy for sightseeing and train travel 🏨🚄

Super good location. Staff is friendly and speak fluent English. Many restaurants nearby. If your train is early in the morning, you can pack a meal easily from convenient store or Matsuya. Highly recommended.

The environment: The room was surprisingly spacious, exceeding my expectations. There's a 24-hour convenience store right downstairs, and you can use your room key to enter and exit. It's also very close to the train station. Facilities: The facilities were great. They even provided free hydrating facial masks and toiletries, making it the only hotel on my trip to Japan that offered masks. Service: Breakfast was quite varied, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a view directly across from Morioka Station, so you could enjoy the scenery while eating. Guests staying on certain floors also had access to afternoon tea, with cakes, nuts, and drinks, and could enjoy the night view in the evening! Overall, I felt it was excellent value for money!

The hotel is located at a very convenient spot, just opposite to the JR station, you can walk to the hotel using the pedestrian tunnel linked to the JR station and mall, with elevators which are user-friendly for travellers with big luggages.

A good experience. The staff finally arranged the highest floor (14/F) for us. Thank you so much. One comment to add: the lighting in the room entrance area is insufficient. Hope the hotel can improve.

The room decor was average, but the bedding was really comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely amazing – you definitely have to try it! The hotel is conveniently located just east of Morioka Station, right across a small road. On the west side of Morioka Station, there's the Malios building with a free observation deck on the 20th floor. You can catch a bus to Koiwai Farm from bus stop 10 at Morioka Station; it's about a 40-minute ride and offers stunning views of snowy mountains and green pastures together.

This was my first trip to Japan's Tohoku region. The Richmond Hotel Morioka is visible right after exiting the JR station. When traveling in Japan, I generally choose hotels near JR stations for their unparalleled convenience in dining, accommodation, transportation, and shopping. I'm especially pleased with the Richmond Morioka. The rooms are slightly larger than hotels in other cities, and the floor-to-ceiling windows make them feel bright and airy. The cleanliness and facilities were satisfactory, and the front desk staff provided excellent service. The check-in/check-out times were better than in other areas. The bedding was very comfortable, and the hotel's soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. If I visit the Tohoku region again, I'll definitely use Morioka as my base, and the Richmond will undoubtedly be my top choice.

Amazing stay with very friendly staff, even thise who are helping with breakfast. Great location just in front of the train station. The room was spacious, the bathroom had a great bathtub, and amenities were not lacking. They have the breakfast lounge open from 12-8pm, where you can work or chat or just people watch in front of the station and have coffee, tea and soda available. You can also eat your food here though the microwave is on a different floor. I would definitely come back to this hotel, as I fell in love with Morioka.
