The hotel was fine, nothing exciting, but clean and quiet. We had a first-floor king room. There are a few things I should mention. There was a slightly overpowering smell when we walked into the hotel. I didn't smell it as deeply as my husband, but he has a sensitive nose. There were holes in the sheet that stayed closest to your body, stains on the sheet, and one of the pillowcases. The pillows were uncomfortable and old. The towels were thin and old, too. The cloth on the pedestal or bottom of the bed was torn and hanging down. The bed was also tall and hard to get into. They only offer a grab-n-go breakfast, which didn't entice us. They still had chairs upside down on a lot of the tables while people were trying to eat their waffles, which was the only thing hot that was offered, except toast. The shower was clean and the water pressure was great. The refrigerator and microwave were clean and in good working condition. There was a hole in the wall from the door handle because they didn't have a doorstop in place. Also, the pool was closed. When a hotel has a pool and it's not used, that's kind of a red flag, if you like to swim, and maybe that's one of the reasons you would book a room with them. There was no mention of the pool being closed on the website. The only thing that annoyed me was the amount of paper taped up on the employee-only doors. It's just obnoxious and unprofessional, in my opinion. If the door is marked as "employees only" that should be enough. However, if you're looking for an affordable, decent place to stay and aren't expecting anything plush, this hotel would work. We stayed two nights.
