And the cake is so good you get to eat it too! For Breakfast! These folks really know how to do things up right! The accomodations are superb. The location is superb. Their hospitality and attention to detail..again, superb. But the Breakfasts...beyond superb! They are masterpieces. And then there are the afternoon appetizers in your room plus scrumptious cookies and FUDGE!! Lots of delightful add-ons that just put the frosting on that cake. Dare we say this a foodies' delight. And Murphys has enuff good little restaurants to add to the charm. Thank goodness there is hiking and biking to offset the calories. But i think we'd just stay and eat anyway. Thank-you Dunbar House et al!

My husband and I loved our stay at the Dunbar House! Communication from the host was excellent (directions for check-in, inquiring about special requests). The property itself was beautiful and well kept (modern, beautiful, and clean rooms with historical charm). The service and breakfast were wonderful (there were several breakfast options, we opted to eat outside on the porch and had a beautiful view of the lush grass and gardens). I highly recommend the Dunbar House in Murphys (walking distance to cute shops, tasting rooms, and restaurants) for a fun and relaxing getaway!

I always feel like home when I walk through the door! I've been lucky enough to be able to stay in most of the rooms. We stayed upstairs above the kitchen this time and Oh My we were NOT disappointed!! The room was like an apartment and so quiet. I enjoyed looking through so many cookbooks. The breakfast was as usual AMAZING. I can't wait to go back to Murphys to stay at the Dunbar House!!

Returned after 20 years. Still an excellent venue. Comfortable bed and upgraded bathroom. Breakfast was fantastic with many delicious options. The living room , patio and garden areas were accessible. Some small complaints- the electrical needs an upgrade. Not enough outlets for my technology. The curtains needed to be upgraded. Overall I would return again in less than 20 years.

This was a cozy, beautiful B & B. The room was large and beautifully decorated down to the marble vanity in the bathroom. The owners were hands off unless needed. Felt taken care of completely. Located with easy walking to all the spots. Highly recommend.

We have been coming to the Dunbar B &B now for about 5 years and we love this place. The atmosphere, the feeling and decor and the wonderful breakfast. We again had Beverly cook for us on both mornings and as usual she went over and above for us and it was very delicious. The other couple we came with who were cousins were really impressed and really loved everything as well and this was their first time. We can’t wait to come back!

Dunbar House is a cozy and convenient place to stay. Located right in the middle of town within walking distance to all shops, restaurants and wine tasting rooms. I like that the decor stays true to the Victorian house. Staff is friendly and breakfast is delicious.

We received a gift certificate from our children for Christmas. It was for the Dunbar House Inn, located in Murphy, CA. They were very accommodating with any question by phone and texting. I wanted to be sure we would be able to see the Super Bowl on the TV in our room. They checked it out advised it will be showing and even sent us exactly how to turn on the TV to get the station we needed. When we arrived and walked into our room it was like entering a small cottage. Look them up, several different room styles. Breakfast is provided and it was excellent. Breakfast begins with a small bowl of small pieces of fruit. We had Blueberries, raspberries, pineapple, cantaloupe and Blackberries. I’m sure it changes with the season, it was delicious. Options were eggs, any way you like them, pancakes, waffle, French toast, bacon, sausage, thick slice of ham…Murphy has that old town look with shops and restaurants. Several wineries, tasting rooms right in town.

An annual tradition. Love the DB! Great location, Beverly in the kitchen made us an amazing breakfast every morning. We love it there! The whole bed & breakfast experience is one we highly recommend. You never know who you'll be sharing your table with, but we've met only the nicest of folks there.
