Shangri-La Al Husn Resort and Spa

Staying at the Shangri La Al Husn Muscat has been one of the highlights of our time in the Middle East. We decided to go for my girlfriends birthday and the team worked exceptionally well with me to deliver a unforgettable experience. Getting to the Shangri La was a bit of a challenge and taxis do not come cheap in Oman. Though it was not challenging I do wish there was a pickup/drop off option for the guests. The inclusive breakfast was wonderful and ordering off the menu assured that everything you ordered stayed fresh. There was a mixup with our order due to a language barrier but the food was still phenomenal. The in room breakfast and room service was a highlight as it allowed you to take full advantage of the room and with the inbuilt heaters in the dining table assured the food stayed hot. The value for money on in room dining was disappointing as an order of a burger and fries came with a small amount of fries, however that was fixed with our next order. The afternoon tea was delicious, highlights being the fromage and watermelon and the scones. Each afternoon tea was different and kept the palate excited. The happy hour beverages were also included and always came with a suprise canapé from the restaurant. In terms of the staycation, it was perfect. The interior and exterior of the hotel is beautiful and the sound of the ocean left you relaxed for the stay. I would like to raise that there was a lot of sealife by the beach which deterred us from swimming in the sea as we had heard a lot about the Omani coast and didn’t have much confidence in the beach patrol and lifeguards there. We noticed some playing on their phones but they were always happy to assist taking a picture for the two of us. I would suggest a more upfront approach when it comes to what you can expect in the sea there. A visitors lounge was also available allowing you to take full opportunity of the facilities till you left for your next adventure.

Al Husn hotel has a great location and all the staff are extremely friendly and attentative. However, breakfast time can be a little chaotic due to lack of staff and many tables are left uncleared causing delays for person coming in for breakfast.

I have just come back from a week long holiday at the Shangri-La Al Husn with my family and we all had the most amazing time! This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at and will DEFINITELY be returning. The value for money is incredible because of all the extra luxurious amenities provided. The complimentary cocktail hour and afternoon tea are sublime. The cocktail hour was one of our favourites because the a**osphere created is just beautiful. It takes place in the courtyard under the softly lit palm trees, with excellent live musicians creating a magical a**osphere. The complimentary mini bar was a huge plus! As was the complimentary shuttle services to the mall and souk, amongst other destinations. The staff at the Shangri-La were very polite, welcoming and made us feel so special. A huge thank you to Mirco and Prakash who went the extra mile for us by building a rapport with each one of us. Every detail was paid attention to and we felt we were looked after to the highest standard. Nothing beats the level of professionalism, luxury or comfort that this resort and staff can provide for you. Everyone from the waiters, pool boys and managers shared the same attitude towards guests which was very humbling to experience. Al-Husn exudes luxury and tranquillity, the décor and design of the resort is breathtaking. The view from any area in the resort is stunning. We loved that housekeeping staff came by in the evening to provide any additional items we needed, this was very convenient! The infinity pool was a real favourite of ours, the view makes you feel very relaxed and peaceful. Another thing which was brilliant was the cooler box provided by the staff, and the facial mist! These small details made us feel very appreciated and special. The choice of restaurants is good, however we felt that the prices were slightly high. We enjoyed Chow Mee and sitting outdoors by the beach at the tapas restaurant. The Italian restaurant gave us very small portions which we were not impressed with, considering the price. However, all in all we loved the Shangri-La! :) thank you for giving us a perfect holiday.

Shangri-La Al Husn Resort & Spa boasts a stunningly scenic location nestled in a picturesque bay, offering a phenomenal beach experience. While the spacious rooms provide great views, they could benefit from modern updates. The front office, beach, and housekeeping staff excel in their roles, providing attentive service throughout the stay. However, the dining experience falls short with average breakfast offerings, poor restaurant service, and limited selection. Despite these shortcomings, the reception staff does their best to offset this by providing a 20% discount exclusively on the restaurant bill upon check-out, demonstrating their commi**ent to guest satisfaction. Overall, while the resort's natural beauty shines, improvements in dining and service could elevate the overall guest experience to match other luxury resorts in the area.

Perfect hotel with amazing food and service from every single staff member the manager Nick Flynn and Gina made sure our stay was extra special we have recommended to everyone and will be returning as we loved it so much the Indian restaurant Aangan where we dined three times had amazing food thankyou to all the staff for making our stay so magical kind regards paresh and seema chandarana

We were thoroughly pampered and rejuvenated here! Rodcleff at reception helped us with a late checkout and gave us a lovely tour! Jerome at breakfast was so delightful and helpful. The whole staff really is just amazing! We loved the serene private beach and complimentary amenities! The food and beach vibes were great and it was nice to stroll down to the other two hotels for other water sports and activities . Highly recommend for all couples looking for a romantic getaway! We even got lucky to spot a mama turtle laying eggs one night.

The ambiance was peaceful and serene, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable stay. Wanna thank all the staff who was friendly and helpful. Also a big thank you for making my birthday memorable. the view from our balcony was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the sound of waves crashing against the shore and the sight of the sunrise painting the sky in vibrant hues was truly unforgettable
