The first thing worth mentioning is that this hostel accepts international guests without any problems. This is not always a given in China, as some hostels and hotels still do not accommodate foreign travelers. If you are visiting from Europe or any other country, you can book and stay here with confidence. Most importantly, everything you see in the photos is exactly what you get in reality. The pictures are 100% accurate and perfectly reflect the actual condition of the hostel. Everything is genuinely new, very well maintained, and exceptionally clean. There are no misleading photos or unpleasant surprises upon arrival - what you see online is exactly what you will find when you check in. Despite having only a small number of reviews, I believe this is mainly because the hostel is still very new. You can immediately notice that almost everything inside is new and extremely well maintained. The cleanliness is outstanding. I have stayed in more than 100 hostels around the world, and this is honestly one of the cleanest hostels I have ever experienced, if not the cleanest. Another thing that deserves special mention is the facilities available to guests. The hostel has a refrigerator, which is surprisingly uncommon in many hostels. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, so you can easily prepare your own meals if you prefer. A dining area with a table is available as well, making it comfortable to sit down and eat. The hostel also provides free laundry facilities. Washing detergent is included, so you can do your laundry at no extra cost. There is even a dedicated area where you can hang your clothes to dry afterwards, which is incredibly convenient for long-term travelers and backpackers. The hostel is located on the 25th floor and offers fantastic views of the city. It is also very quiet, making it a great place to rest after a day of exploring. The host is an incredibly kind and caring woman who genuinely looks after her guests. She checks on your arrival, asks about your travel plans, gives recommendations on what to see in the city, and even suggests local food and dishes to try. You can really feel that she wants every guest to have a pleasant stay. Although she does not speak English, communication is still surprisingly easy thanks to the AI translation available through Trip.com. We had no significant communication problems during my stay. If the owner continues improving her English over time, I honestly believe this could become one of the best hostels in Nanning. She has a genuinely kind heart, and her hospitality is exceptional. I will remember this stay for a very long time. It was one of the best hostel experiences I have ever had, and I would happily stay here again.

Excellent location allows you to wheel your luggage from the train station in minutes, yet most of the city is still easily accessible on foot, metro or escooter. The hotel itself is large but immaculate. A good breakfast is available. All this at a very reasonable price. I recently had the pleasure of staying at 房东老于头公寓 (民族大道分店), and it was an exceptional experience that I would gladly recommend to anyone seeking a comfortable, cozy, and welcoming stay. From the moment I walked in, I felt the warm hospitality and attention to detail that the hosts had put into this place. First off, the location is superb. Situated on Minzu Avenue, this apartment is not only convenient but also offers easy access to many of the city’s main attractions and amenities. Whether you’re looking to explore local restaurants, hit up shopping districts, or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll around the area, you’ll find it all within close proximity. The convenience alone made my stay incredibly easy and stress-free. Upon entering the apartment, I was immediately impressed by how clean and well-maintained everything was. The hosts clearly take pride in ensuring the space is spotless and inviting. The decor is modern yet warm, with touches of local flair that give it a unique charm. The furniture is both stylish and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. My room was spacious and equipped with all the essentials I needed for a comfortable stay, including a very comfortable bed, which ensured I had restful sleep every night. One of the highlights was the attention to detail in the amenities provided. From high-speed Wi-Fi and a well-equipped kitchen to thoughtful touches like bottled water, toiletries, and even some local snacks, it was evident that the hosts went out of their way to make guests feel at home. The kitchen area was well-stocked with basic utensils, which made it easy to prepare simple meals. This was a huge plus for me, as it offered a sense of flexibility and added comfort. This is obviously a very nice hotel and I would recommend and would stay here again. Luxury is very obvious all over this hotel, and it is frankly very cheap for what it is. The moment we came in, bellhops insisted to carry our bags up to the 80th floor lobby. They were always opening doors for us and very helpful with our bags, 24/7. Once we arrived, we were welcomed in and sat down at an individual desk for check in. There, we were served some excellent tea. The hotel purser came over and welcomed us in. My girlfriend is Chinese and spoke to the staff in Chinese, but the purser switched up to English to welcome me to the hotel, which is a nice detail. Most Chinese hotel staff consistently avoid putting in the effort to speak English to me. The hard product is amazing and is matched well with great service. Staff were always attentive and welcoming in both Chinese and English, always saying hello and checking in. The cons: This hotel, just like most Marriott hotels, is trying to nickel and dime you, which doesn’t make a lot of sense at this price point. In some ways it isn’t, such as an included mini-bar (all non-alcoholic), but for example it doesn’t have a laundry service, while basically any 3-5 star hotel in China would have included laundry. Also, there is a car transfer service, but it’s so absurdly priced for no particular reason. 400 rmb+ for basic transfers where as a Didi would be 10 rmb. Similar luxury properties such as the Ritz-Carlton has these amenities included. The restaurants were nice. We only tried Na Lian, which despite being an in-house guest and being told that they could get reservations for us, we basically were treated like walk-in’s despite being told we had reservations (and we were unable to get a window seat). The bar was also nice and we enjoyed it, the staff were very attentive and helpful. The bar manager waited for us to arrive, but the bar consistently had spend limits for any table or reservation, which additionally just seemed silly, considering we were already staying in a booked deluxe room. The drinks and lamb were very good. The menu was a little outdated, and illustrated wine by the glass, but we were then told that the menu is wrong and they don’t do that. Also, there was strangely a lack of extra towels and bins in the room. I found myself walking into the bathroom many times to throw away trash. This is a good hotel and I plan to be back again, but it can definitely improve. Too much nickel and diming. Good service and good products inspire people to come back, which is worth much more than selling one bottle of shampoo and pushing a customer to never return again. Comfy robes and slippers. 9.5/10

We stayed for 2 nights during a business trip and everything was great. Especially the hair salon at the hotel has fantastic hair washing service! 10/10

If you are concerned about the security of your belongings, think carefully before staying at this hotel. I want to state first that the receptionists and front desk staff are excellent and professional. Unfortunately, there is a serious issue with room security and unauthorized entry. I am a returning guest. First stay: 10–14 December, Room 3031 Second stay: 22–24 December, Room 3003 During my first stay, I informed the cleaning supervisor that I did not want housekeeping until 14 December. When my room ran out of bottled water, I spoke to a cleaning staff member who said she would place the water in my room later after I went out. During our conversation, my room door accidentally shut, and she used a master key card to open it. Looking back, she could have simply handed the water to me as her cart was in the hallway. On 12 or 13 December, the same cleaning staff mentioned that they “cannot earn if they do not clean my room.” Feeling pressured, I agreed to allow floor cleaning only. I stood outside the room while two cleaners mopped the toilet, changed towels, and vacuumed the carpet. On 14 December early checkout, I reached for a pair of black slack pants that had been hanging in the closet since 10 December but it was not there. At that time, I assumed the pants may have been accidentally packed into the two bags for the hotel’s luggage storage. I then traveled to other parts of China with light luggage and did no shopping. I returned to the hotel on the night of 22 December and collected my stored bags. The black slack pants were not in them. During second stay at the hotel I did no shopping. After 24th Dec flying home, I discovered something even more alarming. A bundle of newly purchased jeans for my sister and mother during my first stay—packed together in a plastic bag—was missing. At the airport on 24th Dec, my bags were shrink-wrapped and sealed, and is no wander the total weight was at least 1.3 kg lighter than expected. This suggests that someone entered my room when the room was vacant and removed items from my packed luggage. Hotel staff would have known my checkout date, and I had not opened my bags after packing. This experience has caused me great distress. While the front desk service is commendable, the lack of room security and the disappearance of personal belongings is unacceptable. I will not be returning, and I strongly urge management to investigate this matter seriously.

We stayed at the Yeste International Hotel (Chaoyang Square District Government) for five nights in mid November. Here's the pros and cons: Pros: 1) Good location. Within about 5 - 10 minutes walk, you will find yourself in the heart of one of Nanning's busiest shopping and dining district. 2) Good buns and vegetable dishes at breakfast. (If you'd like a piece of toast, however, there's no jam or butter. No cereals either. This is odd considering that the hotel markets itself as ”international”.) Cons: 1) The Yeste we stayed at promoted itself as ”opened in 2019” but this is misleading! It had been operated as some other hotels before the Yeste brand ”opened” the property as its own. The rooms may have been renovated but many details are clearly worn out from yellow caulking, slow drainage, to moldy cracks. The bathrooms are excruciatingly small. You can't access the full countertop without cramming your legs against the toilet bowl. (We stayed at the ”super” room. Looking back at the online photos posted by the hotel, we couldn't believe that's actually the room we'd stayed at. The fisheye effect used in taking those photos are misleading.) 2) The property allows smoking in some areas. Even if you booked a ”non-smoking” room, chances are that you will ”enjoy” second-hand smoking in the elevator, hallways, even in your own room. 3) Security is non-existent. There is a lobby at the front, but through a side door, which is open 24/7, anyone and everyone can come and go at will. The hotel shares the building with other tenants (businesses). From food delivery, other tenants in the building, to patrons of different businesses, the entire building is an open book. With the push of a button, anyone can access your hotel floors anytime of the day. Overall, if you are looking for a budget hotel to stay in the city, this property is okay. If you expect quality, security, or services, this is not the place to be.

We spent awhile here as were securing Vietnam visas. This is hotel is far from the embassy. On the other hand,it was convenient for the public transport,but not the subway. The front desk had no clue about whether trains to Vietnam from Nanning are possible. They are and we took trains first to Hanoi and later to Mui Ne.The front desk all over Vietnam was full of good advice and could speak English well enough. As for China,they wanted to help,but didnt have the answers and once I could see them tapping away at their phones I knew they would most likely find the same lack of information I found on line. The train at Nanning leaves at 6PM for Hanoi. A special machine exists that prints out a card in five languages with carbon copies that tear away at each juncture of the trip. This will be a bad night's sleep as they rouse passengers late at night to stamp out of China and later into Vietnam. Upon arrival in Hanoi you'll probably need a taxi,but at 6:30am the only ones prey on tourists st the train station. Most people stay around the Old Quarter and it's a well provisioned sort of place with a giant lake at the center. Getting to the train station here required me to get a motorcycle,but wasnt far. It was easy to buy onward tickets and we enjoyed the food and people watching around the lake. Hanoi is sweater weather in January,but once you hit southeastern Vietnam the weather is hot and humid with refreshing sea breezes along the coast.

The location of the apartment is great, plenty of restaurants, 24hrs convenient stores around the building, short walking distance to Mira Mall & Sheng's Tiandi where you can find good supermarket & lots of nice restaurants & good food places. MixC Mall, Hang Yang City & Convention & Exhibition Center are in short distance taking taxi is ~CNY10-15 & convenient, as taxi stand is just right in front of the walk way to the building. The apartment building & the unit itself are old and don't have enough maintenance, they offer the kitchen but if staying less than a month, it's almost useless as they don't provide any of the kitchenware at all, except the electric kettle, not even the proper glasses nor utensils, only 2 daily paper cups in the bathroom. Room facilities & many little things in the unit are all run down & don't have proper maintenance like door knobs, handles, shower, kitchen taps, table, etc, cleanliness is not good enough, however, the bed sheets & bedding stuff are clean enough with no smell. They offer the daily cleaning, but just floor clean, no change of anything, no drinking water provided. The amenities are very basic & few, most are disposable, better bring your own, anyhow, some requests are well responsive like we request to change the kettle, cause it is out of order, 1 additional chair as they provide only 1 chair in the unit & laundry detergent. In overall, if you don't mind and can bare those run down facilities with not good enough maintenance, it is a value for money to stay in such location in good neighborhood.

I recently stayed at Sanzan Hotel, located near Jinhu Square Metro Station in Nanning, and had an overall pleasant experience. Here’s a breakdown of my stay: Location: The hotel’s location is fantastic, especially for travelers looking to explore the city. It’s just a short walk from Jinhu Square Metro Station, making it very easy to get around Nanning and access popular attractions. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants, and local markets in the surrounding area, which is incredibly convenient. Check-in & Service: The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff were friendly and spoke enough English to assist with any queries. They were always ready to offer directions or help with taxi arrangements, which made the stay even more hassle-free. Room: The room I stayed in was clean, modern, and comfortable. The bed was soft, and the pillows were just right for a good night’s sleep. The room was equipped with all the usual amenities like a flat-screen TV, minibar, free Wi-Fi, and an air conditioning unit that worked perfectly. The bathroom was spacious, with a good shower and all the necessary toiletries provided. Facilities: The hotel has a small but functional fitness center, which I used a couple of times during my stay. While it’s not a massive gym, it has enough equipment for a decent workout. There’s also a restaurant on-site, which serves a variety of Chinese dishes. The breakfast buffet was simple but tasty, offering a mix of local and continental options. Value for Money: Given its central location and the comfort of the facilities, Sanzan Hotel offers excellent value for money. The price is very reasonable, especially for a hotel that is so conveniently situated near a metro station.
