This is my first Tripadvisor review and probably (hopefully) my last; this experience has driven me to warn others. I’m not usually one to go this far to post a review, especially because I first hand understand how hard hospitality is, but I would be doing tourists, the island of Paros, and even this hotel a disservice by not posting this candid feedback. For starters, we paid over $400 / night for this room. I understand Paros is a big tourist destination, but the reality is this is far above average for a hotel in Paros— and this hotel listed our room as a “honeymoon suite”. The pictures make it look like it’s a 5 star hotel. To be clear, I get that it’s a “boutique” hotel and that part of the experience in Paros is being near the two and so on— I’ve traveled to many parts of Europe like Greece before and get and appreciate this concept very much. The bottom line up front if this is too long to read— I wouldn’t even stay here for free if they offered it, that’s how stressful this experience was. The room setup for starters disqualify this as being a good hotel even compared with the Holiday Inn Express for $100 a night. The sink is literally 3 feet (1 meter) or so in front of the bed, there is barely any light anywhere near the sink mirror (my wife had to hold up an iPhone flash light while I shaved so I wouldn’t cut myself), the space around the bed is minimal and barely allows for suit cases to open up, and then the actual “bathroom” had a toilet and a shower that is very small and has no shelving (you have to bend down to pick up your soap, shampoo, and so on)— not to mention the shower wall is rotting. You cannot open the bathroom door while the shower mat is down, so you have to basically soak the entire floor when getting out of the shower unless you fully put your clothes on while in the tiny shower— again, the word luxury is no where in the realm of what is offered here, and I would argue most discount hotels have a better bathroom experience. The comforter which was in the closet had all kinds of hair and particles all over it. Long hair, short hairs, you name it— every kind of hair. For a “luxury” hotel this is beyond embarrassing. Attached photos of this and the rotting shower to this review. Then at the very tail end of our stay, as if it could not get any worse, the reception manager tried to bully us into paying for a taxi transfer that we never booked ourselves. We were asked the day prior as we were walking in the middle of the street by the receptionist what time we were leaving the hotel for our ferry and whether we had a transfer— our private travel organizer had arranged all of our transfers, and we let them know that we were being picked up by a certain time. The hotel took it upon themselves to book a transfer for us and then upon our departure when we mentioned we already had our own transfer, they told us “you have to pay no matter what, regardless of whether you cancel the taxi transfer, and we have your card on fi
