Island Leisure Resort

Absolutely beautiful little resort with amazing amenities, rooms and facilities, check in was made so easy even though we arrived after hours and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming with helpful information regarding the island. Will definitely stay again and couldn't recommend more highly.

Really loved this place, rooms are spacious (needed for alot of luggage as travellers). They have a bar area, games room, tennis courts and a pool. Rooms were secure, theres a bolt on the inside of the door and keys for front door and outside seating area (which was your own) . When i was there it did look like the pool hadnt been cleaned in a afew days so i didnt go in but all in all its a good size! The location is good, bus stop on the street which takes you all around the island and its a 13 min walk from nelly bay ferry terminal. Reception lady was so lovely and friendly and she was very happy to help which makes all the difference The only complaint i have is that there was no full length mirror in the room and it was very hard as someone who is small to see what i looked like head to toe! But there is a mirror in the bathroom

Nice place to stay. Walking distance to multiple restaurants and cafes. Beach practically just out the front. Nice pool and bbq area. Spacious bungalow with a kitchenette.

We arrived the bus stop is a very short walk away. We had a really friendly informative welcome. Room spotless and plenty big enough. On site lots to do games room, pool, laundry, swimming pool with comfy beds. A very short walk there is a supermarket, bottle shop, pharmacy. Restaurants also in walking distance.

An excellent place to stay either for a quiet getaway (we did in Oct '22) or a larger family holiday (Oct '23). We had 14 in our group staying in a mixture of Bures & the Villa. The staff (Jenni, Rachael & Paula) were excellent. Helpful, friendly and cheerful but not intrusive. They provided a great 'treasure hunt' map for the younger ones. The resort is clean and the pool great. The resort is only just over a klm from the Nelly Bay ferry terminal, an easy walk. Numerous eateries, 2 supermarkets, a pharmacy & 2 bottle shops nearby.

The complex was well maintained with beautiful gardens & everything we needed. Easy walk to transport, supermarket, playground and beach. Very friendly welcoming staff.

This resort is owned by Defence Holidays and offers discounts for current and past Defence members as well as current emergency services around Australia. This is the 4th time we have stayed at Island Leisure Resort over the last 2 years, we absolutely love what the resort and Magnetic Island has to offer. We have booked it again for 2024. The weather was fantastic and we stayed in a superior room number 1 its our favorite room. The resort is extremely well managed by Daughter and Mother team Rachel and Jenni. Nothing is too had for the ladies who provide excellent customer service and make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. The bus is very easy to use and gets around the whole island every hour, you just have to time your journeys to the arrival time of the bus and they are on time all the time and very well priced for weekly tickets around $20. There's plenty of restaurants and pubs around the different bays to visit also with an assor**ent of shops. The resort is very close to 2 supermarkets a Food works and IGA so getting what you need is very easy and accessible. There's plenty of walking tracks and you must go to Radical Bay which is the best bay on the island but only via walking tracks. Rooms are very comfortable with full kitchen and large fridge. The pool is fantastic to enjoy and escape the heat or work on that suntan.

The resort was excellent in all ways. . Peaceful, friendly operators,walking distance to shops and the beach.

Clean and comfortable with good amenities and happy staff made our stay enjoyable. We were concerned that the open shower did not contain water splashes.
