The owner and staff are terrific. We had a two bedroom unit and it was more than expected comfortable. The host, Cobber, went out of his way to cover our first-timer plug adapter needs and the staff, including (pronounced) Timmy were great at explaining public transit and fielding what must have seemed like a lot of questions. We are heading back again at the end of our NZ visit!

Motel is basic, clean. Pool area is nice. Beds were comfortable enough. Checkin was easy, lady was nice. We were able to do laundry and use the BBQ. Fridge was small for a two-bedroom unit. It was quiet even though the motel appeared to be full. A bit pricey for what you get.

We wish we’d discovered this motel years ago. If you want Nelson but close to Abel Tasman this is the place for you. Quiet location, spacious comfortable room, great hosts and playing fetch with Meg in the morning ticks all the boxes.

I had just returned from walking the Abel Tasman Track and our room had a bath which was wonderful to be refreshed and soothed. Nice comfortable room and bed was great with really nice bed coverings. We have stayed at this motel many times and it has a pool and is very handy to Nelson city and the beach. We can use our Farmlands card to pay. Nice quiet area off the main street. Will return another time.
