Flume's End

Flumes End is an awesome B&B especially if you like unique places and experiences. My husband and I stayed for almost a week while visiting family in Nevada City.... we totally enjoyed it. The quaintness, coziness and interesting atmosphere made it comfortable and fun. Breakfasts were great with a wide choice of yummy foods with excellent coffee. In walking distance of town, too. If you are looking for sterile, blah accommodations, Flumes End isn't it. Priya, the Innkeeper made us feel very welcome!

Gorgeous location on the creek--ask for one of the rooms overlooking the creek. There were also cute balconies with nice creek views and a lovely seating area for guests. A lot of care is put into details, from folded swan towels on your bed to a fortune cookie and treats and tea and coffee available all day. Location right across the street from the Tribute Trail and a very quick walk into downtown's main drag. Breakfast was also tasty--lots of options and cute set-up with old-fashioned tea cups and a variety of options. Priya, the owner, was also very helpful.

Stumbled upon Flume’s End when looking for a Nevada City/Grass Valley stay and glad I did. Priya, the owner/operator, was a great host — extremely friendly and responsive. The room was clean and charming. The grounds are pretty and relaxing. Overall a great stay. Highly recommended.

I could not have picked a better place for us to stay for our first getaway as a couple. We stayed in the Falling Water room and it was so soothing. You feel like you are in little tree house with a river beneath you. The grounds were lovely and it takes just minutes to walk to town. Priya was delightful and welcoming. She provides a terrific breakfast that is served with charming antique china. The attention to detail was so appreciated. This is a charming rare find of a place and I can't wait to go back again.

What a lovely experience all around in the Pyrite Room at Flume’s End! I stayed just one night on a quick business trip but that was enough time to enjoy the absolute charm of the grounds, the room, the comfortable bed, the private balcony with the sights and sounds of the creek freely flowing, the delicious breakfast with everything presented so beautifully, and the gracious innkeeper. Wouldn’t change a single thing!

First the pro. It is in a great location, walking distance to town. Very historic, beautiful little canyon with burbling creek. We stayed in the cottage which like all the rooms, featured great outdoor spaces. The kitchen was tiny but very well stocked with knives and cookware. It had a great shower in the tiny bathroom. Now the con. The Inn is between a busy street and a busy highway, so we heard roaring traffic the whole time except for 2 to 4am. Our cottage smelled moldy, and the bathroom didn't have a sink or a counter, so you use the tiny space in the kitchen. The bathtub on the deck was super cool, but not at all relaxing due to the roaring traffic. Also the deck lights are super bright and there's no off switch. The continental breakfast is served from 8 to 9, great if you've got a big hike planned but for a romantic getaway, not so much. Lastly, the dining area is eclectic, funky, and fun, but bordering on creepy with ventriloquist dolls and other oddities.
