What a gem of a place. Beautiful setting. Super clean room, kitchen and amenities. Very easy to book and friendly owner. I would recommend this place. We had everything we needed. The host was helpful. The bed was comfy and we were warm. Really nice place

We had been held up with flights and did not get there till nearly midnight. The owners had left the key in the door, lights on and a lovely note welcoming us and giving us a map of the area, tide times for the next day and wifi password. Throughout our stay they were friendly and helpful with advice and local knowledge. Would definitely stay there again.

Just beautiful surroundings. We saw some sea lions resting on the beach. The cabin is well equipped and the shared bathrooms spotless clean. Great campground for a relaxing and peaceful time.

Great location as near the beautiful big beach. Saw a sea lion basking in the sun. Cabin was well equipped, though a shelf in the bathroom for our toilet bag would have been useful.

This campground was an ideal base for 5 days exploring the Catlins region. We were able to get accommodation with single beds and a spacious lounge and kitchen nearby. The showers were hot and activated by a $2 coin which was supplied at check in (1 for each day of our stay). A 3 minute walk and you are on the beach at Surat Bay.

an ideal place to stay for nature lovers and families who want to introduce their children to it. Our apar**ent had two rooms with shower and toilet so we didn't have to share it and we also had a well equipped kitchen which served us well. On the grounds there is a small playground and a common room with kitchen shower toilet and washing machines (which you have to pay for). The surrounding area is great with a few steps or minutes drive you can see sea lions in the wild, lots of different bird species and flowers. Weatherproof clothing should be taken at least at our time of travel (OCT/NOV). Shopping facilities are available in Owaka and should be planned.

Very comfortable, clean and fresh cabin with cooking facilities and bathroom. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful and expedient in unblocking a shower waste. Not a problem. Very happy with our 3 night stay. Thank you
