I recently had the displeasure of staying at [Selina catahoula] in New Orleans, and I must say it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. From the moment I arrived, I knew this was going to be a stay to forget.
Firstly, the check-in process was slow and disorganized. The staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful, making me feel unwelcome right from the start. I reserved private rooms with breakfast and got nothing of that. They forced me to pay extra at least $150 to upgrade to private bathrooms for the two bedrooms but even then one bathroom has no door and no curtains. I ask the manager to send me one they did not. Staff were weird acting and some are not willing to help and quiet. The room itself was a major letdown - it was dirty, outdated, and had a musty smell that was hard to ignore. The bed was uncomfortable, and the noise from the street outside kept me up all night.
To make matters worse, the amenities promised on the hotel's website were either nonexistent or in poor condition.
Overall, my stay at the hotel was a complete waste of money. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay in New Orleans. Save yourself the trouble and find accommodations elsewhere.
