Biggest disappointments in this hotel was that we paid $1k for ONE NIGHT for a ball drop view room. We could see the ball drop which was great, but we couldn’t see the performances from our window which was fine, we could just watch them on tv right? WRONG! Our tv was BROKEN. It took an hour and a half for them to get it fixed, (replaced) and even once they got the new one in, it took another 15 minutes to program it. We missed viewing half of the performers we wanted to watch.
You would expect a $1k a night room to be pristine, but the bathtub looked like it was out of someone’s grandmas house. It was quite stained (you can tell it was the product of years and years of dirt buildup) and the shower barely worked.
Overall quite disappointed. It was the worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in NYC and the most money I’ve ever paid. On the bright side the staff were very nice and the lobby looked expensive, but who cares if this does not translate to the actual room you’re sleeping in.
