Had a brilliant experience here. For such an affordable stay the quality was excellent, the room was lovely, clean and cosy and the services offered were great - kitchen, lounge, computer/library area and laundry room. They also have activities like movie nights which is such a great bonus. The staff were extremely kind - especially Yari - who helped my friend and I when we missed our bus. We really felt taken care of. The location is also great and well connected with a subway station a few minutes away and it felt safe walking home at night. I couldn't believe we found this place and that it was as good as it seemed, especially for NYC! I would highly recommend staying here. Great location close to the subway station. Friendly service. Great hot water in the rooms and strong Wi-Fi. Opt-in for the breakfast. It’s good. There is always (24/7) hot water available in the lobby with tea bags, instant coffee. Plus, there’s a cute lobby store where you can buy snacks, convenience items and more. Grubhub delivers food from a wide variety of local delis and restaurants.

Had a WONDERFUL experience at the Hyatt Place LIC. Great staff and a quiet location. Breakfast is the only meal, besides a happy hour 'snack'. I assume it is because of Covid restrictions. Lots of choices nearby, including a 24hr deli/market. Subway is nearby as well. Would definitely stay at this location again.

The Q4 Hotel (more a hostel than a hotel) is one of many hostels across all of NYC and one of the cheaper ones, by that we mean cheap for New York price as hostels in New York are not cheap at all, which is a huge appeal to the place. The Q4 is pretty easy to find within NYC being close to two subway stops that have easy and very regular direct links to Manhattan without having to change multiple times to get to Times Square and Port Authority. Obviously being in Manhattan is preferred for a NYC stay but to get a cheaper hostel, that isn’t as nasty as eating a mouldy bacon sandwich covered in your creepy uncle’s toenail clippings, is hard to get unless you go out-with Manhattan. You can’t complain about the Q4’s location at all. Within the hostel, it’s a reasonable stay. In the common room down in the basement holds a decent sized kitchen, a tv with a good old Netflix subscription, comfy couches, table tennis and vending machines. It’s generally a nice vibe and atmosphere down there that sometimes is host to some entertainment such as stand up comedy. To top off the common area there is a part in it that is basically a vault that is dimly lit at all times filled with comfy couches and cushions which is perfect to nap on and make those stand up comedians feel awkward by hearing your snoring during their gig. Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and nice amenities that made a quick business trip very relaxing. I felt safe and comfortable coming in during late night hours and was greeted by nothing but kind, empathetic, and friendly employees (shoutout to Hellena and Sidney). I would definitely stay here again if it came down to needing to book in the same area. The hotel is as advertised with a bonus snack and pool area area near the bar.

The rooms are super clean, but unfortunately extremely loud. The windows are not insulated and leaky, as is the room door. The people passing by or showers/TVs from other rooms are as loud as if they were in the room itself. We couldn't really sleep through the night for 7 nights because of the noise. The staff seems disinterested. The toilet didn't work and was only repaired within 12 hours after repeated requests. Nevertheless, extremely clean and modern hotel. The location/area seems threatening at first glance, but we never felt unsafe. We wouldn't book again because of the price and the noise. It's about a 9-minute walk to the metro. The F Line takes you quickly and easily to Midtown without having to change trains.

Because it is close to my daughter's home, my daughter recommended it. After booking, there is no obvious reminder of the check-in process. We arrived in New York and got off the plane. We knew that we had to register. Uploading passports and credit cards was considered to be self-check-in. After all this was completed, we got the password. Building, The elevator was very smooth, but the room could not enter. It was already more than 11 o'clock in the middle of the night. The long-distance plane was very tired. Contact customer service at the door of the room. The customer service responded quickly. I know that the domestic customer service is a microphone, but I can experience the service is still timely. The hotel's requirements are very strange. Thinking that the password they provided is correct, it must be our operation problem, encountering this kind of emergency, the best and fastest solution should not be to change a room? It was not until I proposed this plan that I finally solved it. The bed in the changed room was small, the room rate was different, and Trip.com also refunded it in time. Fortunately, I booked from Trip.com. If I booked directly with the hotel, the language problem and other factors are more difficult to communicate. The room itself is not bad, the mattress is comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, and there is a dishwasher. It is very close to the uncle, but there is no one to do hygiene during the stay, and there is no service staff. It is very troublesome for people with language difficulties.

The room is the same as the picture on the app. It's not too narrow, and it's spacious and has a terrace, so it's comfortable. The subway station is about a 10 minute walk. By the way, I paid for breakfast included, but when I checked in, they said that breakfast was only coffee and tea due to a pandemic? Breakfast is $14 per person, $84 for 3 nights for 2 people, which is not a small amount. You must indicate at the time of reservation that only coffee is available. The hotel did not respond, and fortunately, Trip.com apologized and was compensated with tripcoins.

So much about this hotel made our weekend stay very pleasant. Great view of Manhattan skyline from the hotel roof deck. Awesome hot breakfast. Clean rooms with daily cleanings. Very easy access to both subway stations and bus routes. We found the staff very helpful in guiding us where we had to go. Will definitely recommend this place to others. No regrets; only commendation.

I stayed originally at this Hilton Garden Inn back in December 2017 (apologies for not leaving a review then!), and we had such a pleasant experience we did decide to come back the next time we visited NYC. The best thing about this Hilton Garden Inn is the close location to both Queens Plaza (literally 20 seconds walk away if you pick the correct subway entrance) and Queensboro Plaza (a little further, but only a few minutes walk) subway stations to get you into Manhattan within 10-15 minutes. This alone makes it so worth the price!! When I go on city breaks, my thing is to find hotels a little further out of the center but close to public transport links and it makes a huge difference in value - this is the absolute perfect fit to this rule for those who don't mind staying out of the center of Manhattan. In addition, I have never felt unsafe in the area that the Hotel is located in too, it's a busy public road very close to the hotel (you can't hear this from the room) so you're never in a quiet area alone if you're walking at night from the Subway. This is not a 5-star hotel so if you're looking for this it may not be your thing, but it is I think one of the best value hotels that can be found in the whole of New York City! When you compare the price of this hotel to other similar hotels in Manhattan, this can be purchased at sometimes more than half the price of other similar (and worse) hotels that in central Manhattan, and does seem to be one of the cheaper ones located outside Manhattan too, but the cheaper price doesn't mean a lack of quality when compared with others! The rooms (from memory) hadn't changed between our two stays in 2017 and 2023 (and do seem older than this) so perhaps could be doing with an update, but they are large rooms and ours had a small sofa located at the end of the room too - beds very comfy. Unfortunately, the air con didn't work our first evening so it was stuffy on the first night, however we didn't bother to raise this as we were so jet lagged from our flight and I'm more than confident the team would've have resolved this for us if we did! Thankfully, it worked the rest of our stay so the room was extremely comfortable after this time. We were located on the 11th floor (I think), and apart from one day where one of the two lifts were broken, we didn't have to spend long waiting for the lifts and got from reception to our room in a few short moments. The reception/lobby/breakfast area seems to have been updated between our stays in 2017-2023, is modern and clean with a large bar area too if required. We didn't have breakfast there or food so can't comment on the food offering. We stayed due to a planned engagement in NYC (she said yes!) and we did tell the Reception Team about this (apologies, we can't remember the woman's name) to see if there was anything they could do as a congratulations, just a simple message in the room for example - she did say leave it with her.
