Holiday Inn Newark International Airport

Hotel was in a great location, very close to Times Square. Can get very busy during check in and check out hours. Overall it was a modern hotel on a safe street. Look out for Sam from the bellhop department, he was very helpful during the check out.

I booked this hotel but my flight was canceled from Atlanta to Newark the refused to refund my money, they are not considerate and i will never try to stay in this hotel for reference my flight is from Atlanta- Newark on 18th January 2024 by united air UA0325 time 11:38.

The customer service was the best 👌 everyone was so friendly and accomodative.

Overall experience was good due to location and shuttle bus. Two things bothered me, 1) the coffee machine broke down so requested a replacement twice, but they did not follow up 2) Room around the elevator is noisy all night long

Good to stay for flying trips. Around 7 min away from the airport, parking is free. I like it. It is good to stay I recommend it

NEVER AGAIN! We recently stayed overnight at this hotel in transit from Hawaii to get on a cruise ship the following day. We arrived at 6am after a 9 hour flight (I did try to book in the previous night as well originally but there was no availability) and people were already checking out from the night before which boded well for an early check in or so I thought. We were told we couldn’t even complete the paperwork which is unusual but we stored our luggage and caught an Uber to the nearest shopping mall at a cost of $22USD. We returned to the hotel at 1.30pm, hoping to be able to finally check in. By this time there were quite a few more people in and around reception with suitcases everywhere, some were sleeping, others were looking very fed up or annoyed. We asked about checking in again and were told there were still no rooms. We went into the restaurant for some lunch and checked again at 2.45pm, still no rooms, seriously? We went back out into the reception area and heard the girl on reception very rudely telling someone check in was 4pm so don’t bother coming back until then. Finally at 4pm they started checking in a long line of very tired, cross people. To make everyone wait until then was ridiculous especially as people had started checking out at 6am that morning, it was like they had to take control and kept everyone hanging around out of spite. Check out was 11am and when we went to check out the following morning someone was being told they couldn’t check in until 4pm, she was not happy. The rooms weren’t even that clean, see pic of the top of a power point I ran my finger through below. I would NEVER stay at this place again and would definitely NEVER recommend it to anyone!

Luckily we booked this hotel as opposed to Hampton Inn. Our Uber sent us to the wrong hotel which is Hampton Inn, their customer service is extremely bad and they never even attempted to check my record to confirm my booking. Only at the end of the day, we realised the driver sent us to the wrong hotel. After comparing Hampton with Holiday Inn. I strongly recommend Holiday Inn. their customer service is wonderful.

Room is quite big and clean. There are amenity in the room. Plenty of parking lot. Shuttle bus to airport is every half an hour.
