We were not aware that 70% of hotel was closed for renovations.
We were disturbed by builders drills at 8.00am
Breakfast was in temporary restaurant and was cold on both mornings
No a**osphere felt like camping in a building site

Made a reservation for dinner at checkin - we then didn’t have a booking when we went down.
Dinner took 1.5 hrs to arrive. No one told us why.
Dirty plates from kids dinner left on table for an hour.
Brought sorbet out and don’t offer to our child
10% service charge added to bill at end of meal!
Awful service at breakfast - had to ask for coffee 3 times.
Fried eggs arrived after 20 mins
No robes in bedroom
Had to ask 3 times for a travel cot

Would have been perfect 5 however -
Staying 2 nights and they didnt clean room until after 7pm even have two prompts - lost 4 hrs just waiting on this happening so we could start to get ready etc
Ronan from the breakfast team was outstanding
Bar manager was amazing 👏 excellent service

The property has been all redecorated in big garish carpets and curtains and the bedrooms are so dark with the curtains drawn and lights on that you need a head torch to find your things !

From the moment we checked in till we left it was five stars, from the hotel itself, the room was amazing and the bed the most comfortable ive slept in. The reception staff, bar staff and breakfast staff, they were amazing

The breakfast is the best ive ever had in a hotel. Fantastic breakfast. So much variety and very tasty.
Service was slow when we phoned from our room. We only had one robe and needed one beforw going to swimming pool but took over 30 mins to get this to our room with 3 phonecalls.
The hotel needs to be strict on kids swimming times they didn't address parents who brought kids swimming during the adult times. If you have a rule stick to it.
Other than that an lovely stay!
