Overall great experience, good rooms and service.

Apar**ent very old and tired. I booked a two bedroom king bedroom apar**ent for 4 people. One king bed was 2 single mattresses pushed together covered by a sheet , this room did have a bathroom in the room that was fine. The second bedroom did have a king bed however the bathroom was in the hall way and you had to climb into a bath to have a shower, it had no exhaust fan. The living area only had enough lounge seating for 3 people. The rooms were clean the kitchen very basic no coffee machine. A very basic 2 bedroom apar**ent

Excellent staff. Comfortable facilities. Close to restaurants. Love the charge back facility, which meant I could try a few different local restaurants.

Stayed at the Quest as I had a wedding in town perfect location with restaurants coffee and entertainment right on your doorstep highly recommended

The good : The rooms are large , spacious, and good size kitchen, and lounge and eating eras with seperate bedroom and washing facilities, so great for a longer stay as I did for 7 days. The pool and spa are a nice touch all indoors and very relaxing after a hot humid day. The rooms are very neat and tidy, starting to show their age a bit, but still very functional. The beds are a bit firm and could have the room for king size, i think the mattress could be due for a replacement. The bathrooms are aged some what with the old step into the bath to have a shower routine, thus time for a refurbishment to be carried out on those. The OK: Only one air con for the large rooms, so your bedroom can get quite hot, and my ceiling fan didn’t work, so not as comfortable as it could have been. Some of the carpets in hallways are a bit thread bear and needs replacing, and the pool area needs a repaint, but all minor issues . The bad: Seems to be a theme with quests of late, the car park, besides the fact getting into the place to do a check in is near impossible as there is no parking on the street , so park a few blocks away, walk to the entrance and get the remote to open the 30 dollar a day car parking gate, the parking is 30 dollars a day for your car to sit in the sun or rain and not get stolen on the street, so lets call the room rate +30 dollars, as there is NO WAY you would park your car on the street around the area, as its a bit seedy at night. Honestly just include it in the room rate and if you don’t park here you get a 30 dollar discount… ?? There was a time car parks for a hotel were free… I must be old school, I guess ;)

The room is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. The hotel is close to all facilities and Newcastle light rail station

The hotel is right in the heart of the city. The room was spacious and clean, and had its own balcony area. The furniture was modern and new-ish.

Room was incredibly spacious. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Pool was comfortable and relaxing. Pool towels are a little small as they barely wrap around an adult. The deposit is an inconvenience as they still get an imprint of your credit card like every other hotel. For an overnight stay, the deposit is a bit much.

Great spot. Friendly helpful staff. its a great location with access to the inner precincts and Harbour. The apar**ent was spotless and well appointed. Sadly I only booked for one night as it was a last minute trip. I plan to stay longer next time.
