Camp Kwando

I can’t describe how much we loved our stay at Camp Kwando. From arrival we felt that our bush holiday was under way. We did the birding cruise and the owner himself took the time to share his knowledge of the area. We had a 7 and 6 year old with us and they loved every minute of the lodge and the staff were fantastic. The added bonus was the monkeys around so there was always action. The rooms are individually decorated with a. Real eye for detail all around you. Anke and her team in the kitchen outdid themselves every day with the meals being way above standard compared to other lodges in the area. The Mudumu National Park in the Camp Kwando game drive vehicle was a treat and well worth it. Michiel thank you for all the spoils and I can see your staff still has the appetite to ensure guests are happy. We will be back I’m sure of it.

We stayed in one of the river side chalets over chris**as and enjoyed the fantastic view on the river with Hippos, the beuatifully designed chill lounge and the fantastic meals. Everything was perfect, definitely a place to come back!

Nice place to have a river cruise, to relax or to visit the nearby national parks. The velvet monkeys are very naughty, be carefull ! The owner was very friendly and helpful. be aware that there is no Wifi available

The warm welcome and friendliness of the camp management is outstanding. The reception, restaurant area is a lovely place te relax and we enjoyed the boat trip. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, but needs a bit more maintenance. Overall, we had a very nice and enjoyable stay.

Very friendly people, campsite nice and big, but the facilities needs serious work, ablution and water disposal are a problem, drains blocked, some lights not working, support infrastructure in toilets needs replacement - in general, the place need a maintenance hand on it!

We had a very good stay at this lodge. The treehouse is spacious. We had one with view on the river. Bar/lounge and restaurant are also located at the riverside where we watched Buffalo and Hippo's grazing at the other side. Food in the restaurant is good. Boattrip and gamedrive through Mudumu NP were great. Staff very friendly. So we can recommend this place.

The deck area was really beautiful and cool in the very hot weather. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and the table setting was next to the deck railing close to the water. The little Bloubal monkeys was a treat and the sound of the fish eagle far away was amazing. The trees with the names on was lovely to see and the quavadilla growing so big with the camelthorn trees just a wow..... The room was lovely and the shower amazing. The let downs: No Fridges in the tents Shade on the deck of the chalets is inadequate, the sun is straight in your face when coming out of the tent. You cant park your vehicle at your chalets, make sure you bring only one bag. No Fishing We stayed only one night.

A team very ☺️ and friendly. Private toilets and shower with hot water morning and evening. Good localisation for à selfdrive in Bwabwata NP. Our campsite was large and isolated. Near Kongola if you need something.

The dinner was fantastic. The parking was a bit far from my room. I missed having a kettle in my room and the restaurant was a bit too far to walk for each coffee. A little cute antelope was walking around the swimming pool. Interesting decorations were made with the towels and plants. Overall I enjoyed my stay and recommend the lodge.
