We stayed here as part of a cycle tour. Rooms are OK, abit dated but spacious and clean. We had a lovely view of the castle. Right in the heart of town. Breakfast nice. Staff friendly, especially in the bar

Une honte pour la ville de Château Chinon, hôtel inconfortable et insalubre, draps visiblement non changés, pas de savon, pas de chauffage, mauvaise insonorisation, pas d’accueil avant 17h30, accueil déplorable, pire expérience hôtelière de ma vie, passez votre chemin

Nous sommes un groupe de quatre personnes nous faisons le tour du Morvan à pieds du 2 au 13 mai2024. Nous avons réservé une chambre fin janvier 2024 via booking lors de la préparation de notre randonnée. Ce jour le 7 mai 2024, nous avons reçu un sms du propriétaire de l'hôtel pour nous dire qu'il annulait notre réservation et qu'il donnait notre réservation à des personnes qui venaient régulièrement dans son hôtel. Nous sommes sans hébergement pour le 9 mai au soir et sans véhicule puisque nous sommes à pieds. Il va sans dire que nous avons déposé plainte auprès de booking. Je ne peux que vous déconseiller de choisir cet hôtel à Chateau Chinon.

La propreté et l'hygiène laissent à désirer : Traces de dentifrice ou de savon sur la tablette de la salle d'eau, poils dans la douche, taches sur les serviettes comme si quelqu'un s'était essuyé du cambouis, toiles d'araignées, etc. Prévoir une lampe électrique pour l'escalier. Il est assez dangereux et la minuterie est trop courte, vous risquez de vous retrouver dans le noir entre deux paliers. Le gérant est rigolo et accueillant mais quand on lui a fait remarquer la saleté du lieu, il a inondé notre téléphone de SMS insultants. Bref, à moins d'être baroudeur et d'avoir l'habitude de dormir dans de gîtes de haute montagne, je déconseille ce hôtel.

Hôtel charmant au charme désuet. Nous avons été accueillis par un propriétaire un peu "old school" mais très sympathique, au petit soin pour ses clients et leurs attentes. Le restaurant était malheureusement en travaux mais l'hôtel étant situé en plein centre-ville, nous avons pu trouver à manger ailleurs.

Hôtel et restaurant en travaux . Pour les frileux ou les non habituée au climat de la région, ne pas hésitez à demander des couvertures supplémentaires car le patron est habitué à la température locale.... La patron est une personne qui manie l'auto-dérision avec beaucoup de finesse , ce qui peut surprendre mais qui au final est assez sympathique
