I love this hotel. It's my second stay there. It's small, beautifully appointment with a lovely lounge room to relax in, and the breakfast is out of this world. Don't eat a big dinner the night before! The hotel is close to everything but also very quiet, so I slept really well. I recommend it very highly. J'adore cet hôtel. C'est mon deuxième séjour là-bas. Il est petit, joliment aménagé avec un joli salon pour se détendre et le petit-déjeuner est à tomber par terre. Ne mangez pas un grand dîner la veille! L'hôtel est proche de tout mais aussi très calme, donc j'ai très bien dormi. Je le recommande grandement.

Antichambre is a superb boutique hotel located close to easy walking distance to all major tourist sites in Nimes. It is just a stones’ throw to the Nimes Arena and the excellent Nimes Museum. Maison Carre, the well preserved Roman temple, is also just a short distance away. The hotel Is also easy walking distance to shops and restaurants in the historic, old city of Nimes. I highly recommend Antichambre as being an extremely comfortable and secure place to stay. Jean-Luc is an excellent host who goes out of his way to ensure that your stay in Nimes is memorable. He serves a delicious, innovative breakfast each morning, no two mornings are the same. Depending on the weather, breakfast is served in the garden terrace or in the reception of the hotel. My room was very pleasantly appointed having been fully remodeled in a pleasant, modern style. I slept like a baby on the very comfortable bed and enjoyed high-speed internet in the room and throughout the hotel – a necessary feature for any place where I stay. Five Stars or more for Antichamber and Jean-Luc! Please stay in the hotel, you’ll be extremely comfortable.

This is a fabulous little hotel. Close to the old part of town. It is immaculately clean and has a charming courtyard to relax in.
The host Jean Luc made our stay extra special. He suggested good restaurants and things to do. Breakfast was definately the highlight of our stay. The variety and quality of food was fantastic. I’d recommend a stay here.

Antichambre was a great stop on our tour through the south of France. Fantastic host, clean, well appointed rooms and an amazing breakfast, all a stone's throw away from the Arena of Nimes. Thank you Jean-Luc; we really loved our stay.

The Owner/Manager totally made this property. He was caring, amusing and a great chef for unusual and way above average breakfasts. So if there were minor deficiencies in the facilities these were more than offset by the service provided

We stayed for the night in this wonderful boutique hotel and it was our first visit to Nimes. Our hosts were amazing and every detail of the accommodation and breakfast was well thought out with such imagination and style. The design element is echoed in the shop at the front of the hotel. We enjoyed the air con especially as it was so hot and we had a great night’s sleep in the large comfortable bed. The lounge area is incredible, a hanging chair record player books and again just the art pieces are incredible. Every fine detail. But the best is last with the chef style breakfast which is truly as good as anything I have ever eaten in top restaurants. All local ingredients eaten outside in the courtyard garden. Life doesn’t get any better than this! Can’t wait to return.

A real treat! Nimes itself is a gem to visit, and Antichambre is a fantastic place to stay. Ideal for couples, just three rooms with beautiful decor - you see the personal touches everywhere. Perfect location close to the centre but very quiet. A haven court yard to relax in. Jean-luc the best host! Welcome drink and the most sublime breakfast. Recommend big time!

We stayed here for a week and frankly, it was brilliant. The room we had was very good, clean, and had all we needed. The sitting area was great for wine and snacks after a day of exploring. But the joint stars of our stay were the breakfast (more of this later) and Jean Luc is the owner, JL is the nicest person you could hope to meet and runs a first-class accommodation which brings me to the breakfast, they were simply world-class and worth staying here for this alone, top quality ingredients made into the nicest and inventive dishes.

Totally delightful, relaxing with tasteful furnishings and a pleasant, welcoming ambiance. Antichambre is thoughtfully created and it has an ideal location, literally within 1 block of the Arenes de Nimes. Even so, it is private, safe and so quiet. The room and en suite bathroom as well as the common areas (salon with a fireplace, lovely courtyard garden), were really comfortable. The breakfast was amongst the very best we've had in decades of world-wide travel. Jean-Luc made us feel welcome. He was helpful, kind and generous. (And, patient with our French--merci!) We would love to return.
