Anew Hotel Ocean Reef Zinkwazi

This place is a franchise so I was expecting way more, we travelled here off peak season in the middle of the month. Our needs were never accommodated from the beginning due to poor management and ridiculous rules. We asked to be upgraded to a sea view room because the hotel was empty they lied and said it’s full. I asked to be assisted organizing a romantic picnic on the beach, they offered assistance but made me wait a ridiculous amount of time so I left it out they were reluctant to help me all services require a huge wait time, even simple things. The staff were polite however and tried to help they were governed by unaccommodating rules. The access to the beach was the best part. The breakfast was also good. Will never return!

I was greeted by friendly staff and nothing was too much to ask. Staff go out of their way to assist you. The rooms are clean with crisp clean linen fluffy towels and after a long day wonderfully hot shower. The dinner was prepared to perfection

If you use as a self catering it would be a good place, the beach feels like you own private space, it is great, the rooms are big and well equipped, the view is dependant on the room you get as in some rooms you need to look through the tree branches to see the sea.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Beautiful hotel. Would be nice if they could have a games room for the children for evening entertainment

Very friendly & helpful staff, the place is properly maintained and clean, everything you need in one place with easy access to the beach. There is nothing more needed. One of the best stays for sure.

Had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Excellent views with the hotel right on the beach. Staff were very courteous. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for its top-notch service, prime location, and overall commitment to guest satisfaction. I can't wait to return on my next trip to this region. well thought-out apartments, spacious with a view and tranquil environment. Conducive to work, friends and family setups. Personal attention and consideration from the reception staff. Private access beach which did not leave you feeling stranded... Secure, comfortable, clean. an absolute pleasure.

On arrival it we were not expecting the place to be the way it was. Nicely furnished, even though our place was not an ocean view the kids had a pick between the trees to view the ocean. Staff was friendly and we really enjoyed our stay a lot. The private beach was great for the family.

The room was dirty upon arrival; the window blinds above the bed and bathroom window were dusty & full of cobwebs & I had to ask them to clean it the following day as I was sneezing the whole night. The deck (which has a fantasic ocean view) was also dirty, had to ask them to clean it as well, if I ddnt ask, it would not be cleaned. Bedside wall lamps with no light bulbs & despite the placement of the bulbs upon request, the bulbs were flickering🙄. Door between bedroom & lounge doesnt close & bedroom air con wasnt working properly, despite reporting & asking for these issues to be resolved, they weren't... The reception isnt manned 24/7 so I had noone to help with my luggage & I just had to dump my room key at the reception desk. The staff are really friendly and really polite & the views are to die for, but for a four-star hotel, this place is over-priced & undermaintained & the cleaning of the rooms lacks supervision.... By the way, if you do not have your own vehicle, do not go there. There is only one guy who is resident in that area & who offers a "taxi service", and if he happens not to be around, you will ne stuck in the hotel (Ubers do not go there). I am not sure if I willl ever desire to stay there again.😏😏😏😏
