Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Charleston Airport West

First was never told place was being renovated rooms were clean but heating unting is falling apart I should be happy it works ! for in room phone doesn't ,no winter blankets on bed , no coffee pot in room, room smelled of marijuana,worst for last NO HOT WATER walls have chips and or holes in them so called closet isn't even framed properly ,paint chips falling and peeling from ceiling ( hot water worked after owner checked water heater) If was told ahead of time I would had booked another hotel, but probably came here when they are ready for humans they even booked domine in a room that was already taken.. I get they probably just bought this dive and are trying to fix it up . However having people in these rooms are just neglect to their customers .Lack of respect for me & other customers.I would only book from here again if it was for someone I do not like in hopes they would be miserable 😖 It would had been nice if I was made aware of everything this hotel lacks .The staff friendly, but not even they could had made this better I waisted almost $84.49. To lay my head down in a room that just not ready for to be used At all . If they had been honest with made these issues aware on their web site I would have probably booked when they are finished with renovations. Now I don't care to be reminded that for $10. More I could had stayed across the street and had a coffee pot The rooms not worth 84.49 $ maybe $60. Truly hope they get it together before Spring break .

Not great. Went to check in . Woman was not very friendly. Asked for extra pillows she said pillows were new so they were pretty fluffy so we prob won’t need extra- if by new she meant little lumpy nuggets then yes. The room was a non smoking room. It smelled as someone had been smoking in there recently. We only had one bath towel. Stopped at the front desk on our way out to a family event and asked to have towels brought to our room- was told they wouldn’t deliver towels to the room come back to the front desk when we want more. My husband did stop later to get more towels and when we left the hotel again housekeeping came in emptied the trash the bathroom and took the extra towels!!! But here’s the best part-we didn’t know at first because they didn’t make the bed. Advertised free breakfast- none offered because Lobby is under renovation. Not sure what’s being done but it’s a little unsettling when I have to speak with the front desk through what appears to be a bullet proof bank window. You don’t actually walk into the hotel lobby- just up to a window. I have honestly never stayed at a days inn property that was bad. The one positive this I can say is there was a nice TV(we turned it on once). Would not stay here again.
