Have stayed here many times & find the cabins and location overall enjoyable. Proximity to the lodge is the reason to stay here! Find the new online booking process more confusing than it used to be and price increases are a bit much given no upgrades in cabin amenities or furnishings. Rodents are an issue (always have been here) so keep food safely stored, door closed & don’t feed the wildlife. Unfortunately, the new company ownership is not dealing effectively with appropriate cleaning and safe trapping. Our cabin had 2 traditional mouse traps that could potentially be dangerous to children, so check carefully if you have young ones.

We had a cabin with a partial rim view. Never could see the rim from the cabin. We did have 4 mouse traps in our cabin though and thankfully they were empty. Parking is a nightmare! You cannot drive to registration to check in. Fortunately they did have a porter that helped us with our luggage from the car to the cabin. At registration we were warned that you are in the wilderness and that there are critters around. Do not leave any food out, we provide a fridge to put your food in is what we were told. Beds were ok but the pillows were terribly small! More like a throw pillow than a bed pillow. We kept reminding ourselves that we are here for the canyon not the cabin!

Amazing location. Rodents in both cabins which seems to be a common occurrence. The dining is minimal and very average and extremely difficult to get a dinner reservation. The staff are friendly and doing the best they can with poor product. Coffee at the bar was great.

Thanks to Misha, Monica, Vlad, Brad and all the staff at the lodge. Helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay in a cabin; it was small, but it had everything we needed: good shower and bed, small fridge, rocking chairs on the porch. Enjoyed talks about the forests, geology, and astronomy. Great hiking along the rim. Magnificent views. The veranda gets very busy by mid-afternoon as people gather to watch the setting sun turn the canyon all colors of red.

I stayed in one of the Frontier cabins that had a queen bed and a twin bed. The room was clean and comfortable. But, these cabins are attached to another cabin and there is basically no insulation between them to block noise (from a noisy child next door). I felt safe as a solo traveler and had a cabin not far from the main parking lot since that's where you are required to park. The only view I had from my cabin was views of other cabins. This is OK for a one-time stay, but I doubt I would stay here again.

frontier cabin. The cabin itself is very rustic with one double bed and one twin. I must say the walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors quite well.Make reservations to eat in lodge way ahead. We ate at the deli next door every night.

I never thought I would experience any place west of the Mississippi River more majestic in beauty than Glacier National Park in Montana, but the Grand Canyon North Rim is certainly its equivalent in a very different way. Absolutely breathtaking! How very blessed I am to have been able to have this experience! Absolutely a must see.

Western style cabin, $340 a night . Basic room. Seemed over priced considering the accommodations, but you have no choice. Bed was comfortable. Worn furniture. Old subway tile in bathroom that had a plugged sink that drained poorly. Bugs crawling in the room was a problem.

We stayed in the motel and is was ever worst than we were expecting. The room was not clean and did not have hot water. We checked out early. While the options are limited, I would recommend coming in for the day and staying somewhere outside of the park.
