Sought a personal service to book direct for an extra night and was sent away unhelpfully. Very take it or leave it. So I left.

The hotel rooms are a little basic but comfortable and have everything you need. I stayed in a twin double with my daughter overnight for Uni, having travelled from Dorset, it was perfect after a long drive. The beds were comfy, the shower very powerful!! The staff are so unbelievably helpful and friendly. By far the cleanest and best smelling hotel I've ever stayed in. The surroundings are so peaceful and green. We didn't try the food, so can't comment, but seemed popular. If she ends up starting Uni up there I will book here every time without hesitation.

Stayed here one night due to bring in the local off for the day. In a nutshell, dated, overpriced and just plain weird in SO many ways. No central heating (clicky portable radiators!?!), overly soft mattress, hard/rough towels rusting and yellowed parts in dated bathroom. Only positive are the pleasant staff, modern well-lit entrance, bar and breakfast area which didn't even use. God knows why anyone would want their wedding here?!?! A bottle of water in room wouldn't go amiss too, sod the free biscuits.

Stayed here as it was a cheap hotel to get our head down as we were at a 50th. You expect certain standards with a big chain, we booked a Queen bed we got what looked like a double, we asked the question and was told that is a Queen? Maybe for a midget. The phone to call reception we found out was an ornament, The toilet seat was loose so the lid wouldn’t stay up, best of all the floor we were on stunk of **** you could smell it everywhere.

Excellent nights sleep, receptionist Stacy was really polite and helpful, although very busy still managed to make me feel important. Also the food and drink although nice seemed a little pricey compared to local places

Booked for two nights and left after one. On arrival the room had a random dirty fridge inside, no kettle, no mugs, no ironing board. In the morning I established that the shower had no head and the hotel was unable to provide an alternative. They also weren't able to provide the ironing board so I had to leave without a shower and with a creased shirt! Each time I was at reception others were complaining (hole in roof, soaking wet carpet, wrong rooms). When I checked out a day early the manager didn't seem overly bothered.
