Une Autre Maison

We stayed here for one night on a trip around France. Nyons itself is a charming town with loads of character, a beautiful square and lots of bars and restaurants. The hotel however is quirky to put it mildly! One enters through a rear gate leading into the garden. Parking is easy in a shady public car park right outside. The garden is beautiful with lots of atmospheric shady corner and a beautiful pool (although beware the mosquitos!). The girl who checked us in was delightful and despite having no English made us very welcome. The other staff with whom we came in contact were, however, somewhat cool and made no attempt to interact. Our room was on the second floor with a very strange bathroom arrangement in that initially it appeared there was only a curtain to seperate the loo and shower from the bedroom. It was only later we found a concealed sliding door - not the easiest to operate! The air conditioning worked fine and there was even a mini bar. No meals were being served other than breakfast but this was no problem as there is plenty of choice of restaurants just a short walk away. Breakfast itself is taken on the terrace and was a pleasant affair with good croissants, preserves etc.. plus yoghurts and fresh fruit. This could be a great hotel with just a few minor amendments. As it is, it is fine for one night but we'd probably look elsewhere for a longer stay in this lovely town.

At first we saw the front of the hotel and didn't know what to think of it. Since is was the end of November, we had to contact the owner and used the entrance via the backside / garden. That changed oud minds quickly. Via the lush garden we walked in the beautiful building. The room on the first floor had a lot of space and personality. The in house restaurant was closed because it was off-season, but that was to be expected The breakfast the next morning was served at our table, it had quality and was more than enough All in all a friendly and good place to stay

111 onze euros et 15 euros de petit déjeuné pour une chambre de taille normale sans rideaux épais pour la lumière du jour (bien sur ouvrir la fenetre pour fermer les volets) et donnant sur la route principale menant au centre ville ,une salle de bain comprenant les wc qui devait faire autour des 3 metres carré ! pour faire ses besoins bonjour l'assisse sur la cuvette! pour faire un semblant de grasse matinée il faut meme pas y penser avec le rafus de la mise en place du petit déjeuner, le va et viens dans les escaliers (vielle maison) et donc la route principale. nous nous sommes décidé au dernier pour venir a Nyons donc tout pratiquement complet mais venir ici avec ce tarif c'est de la folie oui nous sommes fous touristes ne faites pas comme nous M.Cozzi
