The hotel is currently being refurbished, I believe its the first and second floors that are available. The lift is out of use just now but staff will happily help with luggage if required. An amazing warm welcome from reception, nothing is too much trouble here. All the staff are lovely and will always say hello and go out of their way to help. The staff are very friendly and always smiling. Our room was on the first floor (118) with a sea view. The room was lovely and clean, the best pillows and quilt I have ever slept with. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate station in the room. Along with a couple of bottles of water. Ample space for everything with a large tv. Bathroom is beautiful the water pressure is amazing, I had a shower and had to turn the water right down or I was going to get sprayed out of the window lol. Lovely hot water. We had dinner in the restaurant and the chef came put to speak to us, we asked what the soup was and he said he was making chicken soup but could do any we wanted. We said chicken was fine. The soup was one of the best I have ever tasted and I would happily sit and eat that again and again. My husband is a selective (fussy) eater and he loved it also!. Overall everything is fantastic, there is a bar downstairs serving all types of drinks with some chilled out piano music playing. Small snacks and drinks are available to buy at a very reasonable price. Parking is pretty much non existent at the hotel due to the works being done, however there is on street parking on the opposite road. Parking is paid from 9-6. It can work out quite expensive, however you can park at the train station for £3 a day and overnight. Its a short walk to the hotel. Fiona & pj
