The hotel is in a great location for getting around town on foot.
Our room was two flights up and because there is no elevator, that meant dragging many suitcases up and down lots of stairs.
I booked a king and single room, but when I got there, there was only a king bed. The attendant came up and pulled a single cot out from under the bed and made it for me, but that’s not exactly what I had bargained for as a cot is nowhere near as comfortable as a bed. Luckily, I was jet lagged and exhausted, so I slept soundly anyway. There is no AC, and they were having unusually warm weather, so the room was stuffy and warm. This wouldn’t be a problem normally. The room was clean and quiet enough. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
There were a couple of oddities in this room, though…one was the bathroom. There is no light switch - when you open the door, the light comes on and it’s on a timer so it will shut off after a period of time. The problem is that even with the door shut, the light comes through the door and if you get up in the middle of the night, the moment the bathroom door opens, the light fills the room. I really didn’t like this feature. Also, the bathroom door is an automatic close, so you have to prop it open in order to flow freely through the room.
Parking was relatively simple for the fact that they don’t have a parking lot there. But we never had a problem finding a spot.
