Stayed for 1 night to experience the onsen in this nice little village. A one night is more than sufficient to see the night light up, magical. This is a very modern looking ryokan but can be a bit impractical (in terms of light switches etc). But those are minor details. There are only 8 rooms and 5 baths to experience, that’s the main highlight. There is no reservation needed and all are private baths for the whole room. The food is average but then again food is not the highlight of this onsen village. The meal portion is sufficient. Service is impeccable and little English is spoken. If you drive, there is a carpark about 500m away and the hotel will sent someone to pick you up at the carpark. The only challenge I had was sleeping on the floor with the thin mattress, tough getting up and the light switches are many steps away. Meals are served in the room but if you travelling with a bigger group and want to have your meals together, it can be arrange on the ground floor. Highly recommended stay.
