Barton's Mill

Been meaning to post a review for a while now , justly deserved. Spent a weekend with family to watch the Euros. Despite the weather,had a great table out in the garden watching England win a penalty shootout! Great food & beer. Our room was very high end , nice touch having bottled water I must say. All the staff were very attentive too. Give it a try , you won't be disappointed.

Stayed here for one night pre cruise, A fantastic pub with a lot of history, waterwheel, mill, nice walks, great outdoor beer garden, was busy & well supported for quiz night, lovely evening meal, great breakfast, wonderful staff, nothing to much trouble, good beer selection. Lovely clean room, they even put a portable air con unit in as it was a really hot day, very clean, very spacious, we had a full size bath with shower & a separate shower enclosure, looking to stay again next year.

Stayed recently for the second time, in cold wet weather. The rooms are well maintained, comfortable, bright and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Everything we needed was supplied, coffee, tea, bathroom products, hairdryer etc. Both rooms have been spacious with sitting areas and tvs. This room, unlike last time, did not have a walk in shower, the shower over bath was a little awkward, the bath being a little too rounded, giving little room to stand although it worked well with plenty of hot water. The room warmed up very quickly when heating was switched on, forget the controls on the radiators, just switch them on at the main switches (perhaps mention it in the room file). The rooms are in a quiet location, a very short walk from the pub, with plenty of parking at the back. The location is good, next to a pond full of wildlife. There is a nice walk to nearby Basing House and Old Basing along the nearby stream. The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially Ivana in the mornings, sorry about the spelling? The included breakfast was excellent. The popular pub has a decent choice of regular pub grub and a regular weekly quiz which we really enjoyed. There is a large outdoor seating area which would be nice in warmer weather. We will stay again when visiting family.

Very nice room which was spotless clean, nice and warm upon arrival, selection of tea and coffee and some bicies in the room, large bathroom with loads of real hot water , soap, shampoo etc , Good wi fi , comfy bed Great breakfast thats included quality ingredients amazing sausages Helpful friendly staff .
