Château d'Ortaffa

Beautiful in every sense. The warm welcome from Alain and Michelle, the most elegant building and interiors and character, a privilege to stay there. The breakfast is a feast of local produce and Michelle’s homemade yogurt is dreamy. Great location to explore the area, and great restaurant recommendations. So memorable, we will be back x

We stayed two lovely days at Chateau d’Ortaffa. The place is an amazingly well-kept and tastefully decorated town house from the 12th century. We stayed in the spacious and airy room Baroque. It was so quiet and comfortable, we slept very well. The best were the wonderful owners, who were available and helpful, but honored our privacy. They also gave some excellent tips and we visited some extraordinary villages and monasteries. Breakfast from local products was served on the beautiful terrace/living room. Yet, the best was the atmosphere, we felt completely comfortable and rested. Hoping to visit again!

Authentic chateau experience in a quiet and beautiful village near collioure and perpignan. Located near to sea and mountains, we loved the relaxed friendly ambience of this area! Breakfast was set on the beautiful terrace overlooking the village, with delicious coffee, croissants, bread and cheese ( and home made apple sauce and apricot jam). Our room ‘Picasso’ was everything you would hope for with a relaxing, romantic couples getaway. Very much hoping to visit again!

Absolutely beautiful old chateau, the rooms are huge, stayed in the Picasso room some great art work & interesting books. His and her sinks , walk in shower, interesting bedroom floor 😁. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the village and Pyrenees beautiful served by Alain, home made jams & yogurt ( marmalade is superb). Would recommend & will return.

We had an absolutely tremendous stay at Chateau d'Ortafa! Our hosts were friendly, very accommodating and gave good advice about places to visit. We stayed in the Picasso suite which was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. The chateau itself is very beautiful and our highlight was eating breakfast on the terrace with fresh croissants and home made yoghurt. The location is rural but there are many coastal towns and places to visit about 15-25 minutes by car, so would recommend to hire one for your trip! The chateau was just what we were hoping for! Perfect! Thank you!

We have just returned from a delightful 4 day stay at this most interesting chateau. Alain and Michelle welcome you into their home, which has something of interest round every corner. Lovely rooms and great breakfasts - homemade yogurt and jams plus local fruits. Whatever you need to know/find these kind people will help you. It has been a pleasure

Such a wonderful stay! We only stayed three nights and were so sad to leave. The Chateau is gorgeous and so old yet updated beautify. The hosts were charming, breakfast delicious and terrace beautiful. The rooms are amazing, huge, charming, and honestly if the weather were bad we would have completely enjoyed just enjoying our room and the Chateau itself. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurants in the area were the best of our whole month long vacation in France. We can't wait to go back. .

We had a delightful stay at Chateau du Ortaffa. The chateau is full of antiques and historical character. The hosts, Alain and Michelle, are charming and well-considered, helpful with tourist suggestions. A good breakfast and comfortable accommodation - we highly recommend it.
