Ramona was on it our room wasn’t ready so I asked for chair (cux I can’t stand that long) was given one five minutes later boom room ready stove top clean refrigerator full-size both beds made up nice clean crisp sheet’s blankets was a-1 had 2 straight chairs a place to hang and put up my clothes bathroom clean✅ only issue I had was nothing best hotel I’ve stayed in thank you Ramona u went above and beyond thank u

I am writing this from my car due to me being stranded with no place to go. I was in Kalamazoo for work and I had to be at work from 3pm-3am which unfortunately fell within the the check-in time. On the website, I saw that when it came to early check in, you could call or it could possibly be a fee. I arrived an hour and a half early and asked if it was possible to check in early and the lady at the front desk didn’t even stand up from the back and just shook her head no. I explained to her my situation and told her I wouldn’t be able to get off till 3am and arrive no later by 3:30am and she reassured me that I would still be able to check in. However, that was not the case. I am in a hospital, I was on my feet for 12 hours and I wanted to be able to take a shower and lay in a comfy bed but no I am in the back seat of my car till 9am for a manager because an employee didn’t know their policy. I am extremely disappointed and as you can imagine incredibly frustrated. Hopefully the manager will be able to help resolve this issue. It still left a sour taste in my mouth.

I am back for my fourth stay: see previous review dated April 2022. This time, only for about 2-1/2 weeks. Under the new ownership of Extended Stay, prices have gone up a bit, but are still very reasonable. They are between managers at the moment, but Ramona is still here, still doing a great job. . . It is a basic accommodation with the essentials of a hotel room combined with a studio apartment: full-size bed, bedside table w/drawer and shelf, small table/desk, two straight chairs, place to hang clothes, TV w/cable channels, small three-drawer dresser. . . Includes mini-kitchen of full-sized refrigerator, two-burner stove top, microwave. No kitchen supplies, however; you have to buy or furnish those yourself. . . Card-operated laundry on main floor.. . When I reported issues with the TV, the window blinds, and the refrigerator--things any previous occupant should have noticed and could have reported--they were all fixed promptly by the same efficient maintenance guy--Rob--as a year ago. . . I think they should replace the toilet seats throughout with ones that have a cover. It is unsanitary to be flushing toilers with no covers; repeated studies have shown toilet residue gets spewed around the room if there's no cover.

This is the second time I've stayed here for an extended period. First time, when it was Value Place, 2010, for four months. I've returned now for six weeks. Manager Kevin was very responsive to all my requests: quiet room, away from others, a loan of a few kitchen items left by a previous guest (which I will return to him when I leave). . . When I reported that the valve in the bathtub faucet that you pull up to activate the shower took superhuman effort to budge, and then only moved half the water: I left for a couple of hours, and when I returned his maintenance man Rob had gone to the store and returned and installed the new part so it works like a charm. When I reported a problem with the TV, Rob came immediately, analyzed the problem as a TV at the end of its useful life, and replaced it with a new one . . . Receptionist Ramona is also friendly, responsive, and knows her job. . . Housekeeping for long-stay guests is every two weeks, which suits me perfectly. (You can pay a little extra if you want more frequent attention.) . They leave the room and bathroom spotless . . . The room has excellent lighting. I'm at the end of the hall on the fourth floor, and sound-proofing is so good that I'm not aware of anyone else nearby. Highway traffic also supplies a "white-noise" background. . . Suggestions for improvement: corridors and especially stairwells need more clean-up attention than they're getting, which I'm guessing is a staffing issue. And connection to the internet--even the connection you pay a little for--is spotty at some times every day. I plan to return next spring.

As a Veteran who has is ever transient due to a disability earned overseas, this hotel has been a God send. It is the Ritz Carlton of barracks rooms, and most of all, it is a SAFE place. Don't let the ratings fool you, those are posted by folks who want the vacation feel, this is an apartment away from your apartment. They trimmed all the things you won't really notice, but it shows in the very modest rate. You will not find better for the price, and the ladies here work hard to keep it clean, and are there for you at the drop of a hat. Of course it is squared away, the General manager was a soldier once himself. Keep keeping the riff raff down the road Kevin, thank you for your service. I will definitely be back.
