Hotel Ambassadeur

The lift was out of action for the whole 5 days we were there. Please check before you travel, especially if you have a disability. We were given a room on the 7th floor. Someone did help with the luggage but if you have a disability bear in mind there are 113 steps to the top. We were not advised the lift was out of order and there were no other rooms available for our entire stay. There is no air con, no fan but there was a sauna next door, ironic as our room was stifling. The stairs are made of stone and dirty with spillages not mopped, watch your step. The room was dusty and had cobwebs. The sheets were not fitted so came off as soon as you got into the bed. There are no mattress covers. So you will be sleeping on a bare mattress. Trip advisor lists the hotel as providing ironing services but the hotel staff did not know of this. They offered to iron our clothes but advised only if the clothes were not too expensive. The is no tea / coffee or kettle provided. Clean towels and sheets are provided. The staff were not friendly, they seemed to be defensive which is understandable given the circumstances. We paid £100 per night. We do not consider this hotel good value and won't be returning.

What a bad experience. Room on the 7th floor. It reeked of the manhole (sewage). Hard beds and not a really clean room. The breakfast was not too bad. However, everything crammed together. Much too small and everyone walks against each other. But the worst was the elevator. We were on the 7th floor. The elevator rarely works, once you take the elevator you should almost not move because it works with sensors. You have to stay between two red lines or the elevator will block. When we left, the elevator was broken and we came down from the 7th floor with suitcase and baby carriage so 7 floors down. Not recommended! Way too much money for such a worn out hotel. Ah yes, there is not even a front desk ...

Don't let the photo deceive you. This hotel is right on the central square in Ostende, super convenient to everything. Nice staff, easy going, easy stay.

Nous avions réservé pour un déplacement professionnel avec une collègue. N'étant pas arrivé en même temps, mon accueil était très correct cependant ma collègue à été reçu d'une façon très désagréable. Chambres pas très propre et des essuis en boule trainaient dans les couloirs. Les prix sont quand même élevé pour ce que l'on vous propose, nous n'avons pas pris le déjeuner sur place. Nous sommes déçu de notre séjour.

Inchecken vanaf 14u. We werden om 10u30 opgebeld dat we er om 14u30 moesten zijn dat er een anders niemand zat om in te checken. Ik zei dat het misschien 15u ging zijn aangezien we bijna 3u moesten rijden. Toen kregen we het antwoord. “Tot 14u30 zit ik hier”. Heel onaangename geur bij aankomst in de kamer. In de badkamer geen enkel stopcontact. Ontbijt was beperkt maar in orde en ook een zeer lieve vrouw bij het ontbijt. Schimmel in de badkamer. De hygiëne kon echt wel beter. Goede locatie alles was op wandelafstand.

foto's zullen genoeg zeggen, zeer vuil (poetsvrouw???), kapotte douche kraan: kokend heet of ijskoud, niet te regelen. Douche zeer vuil, verluchting reeds jaren niet gereinigd, roest... Schakelaars zijn jaar oud. En zoveel meer... Wie daar de klusjes doet, prutser... Nu snap ik waarom ze via vakantieveilingen klanten lokken, anders hebben ze er geen denk ik...Waar/hoe ze hun 3 sterren behaald hebben...

Toen we aankwamen op onze kamer was de douchekraan van de muur getrokken. Na dit gemeld te hebben voor we voor de avond naar buiten gingen, werd gezegd dat dit bekeken zou worden. Bij terugkomst was dit niet opgelost en we zijn niet gecontacteerd via de telefoon of een briefje om iets op te lossen. Zeer jammer. Onder het bed lag veel stof. Voor de rest wel een mooie kamer. Omgeving aangenaam en pal in het centrum.

Un manque total de finitions que ce soit dans la chambre ou dans la salle de bains. Pas de chauffage (à peine 17°C dans la salle de douche). Petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet, basique, manque total de place

Nous avons séjourné une nuit là bas et la chambre ça allait elle était propre mais j’ai payer pour avoir une chambre double supérieure et j’ai eu juste 2 lits l’un contre l’autre c’est pas top sinon le matelas ça allait. Maintenant l’accueil ça été on est tombé sur dame assez sympa sur ça rien à dire . Mais pour ce qui est du petit déjeuner sincèrement non ça n’allait pas pratiquement pas de choix pour le chaud c’est très compliqué de les prendre car le couvercle est très chaud et on peut le déposer nul part et on risque de se brûler en prenant la nourriture. Sincèrement payer 12€ pour 2 sorte de charcuterie un peu de chaud et juste 2 viennoiseries sincèrement ça les vaut pas . Sincèrement j’ai été une fois via un bon mais je n’y retournerais pas.
