Nanuku Resort Fiji

Resort is stunning! Service impeccable. Unfortunately, it rained the entire visit making it less desirable to do much of anything. I know the rain cannot be controlled but the other side of the island had been sunny every single day. The 3 hour car ride down there was "hell" with the crazy driving and very windy roads. I felt sick the entire trip. I know they offer a small aircraft there but it's very expensive.

Had a fabulous time at this resort. The staff is very friendly and even remembered our names. Our beach villa had a outdoor jacuzzi and shower. Was able to fall asleep listening to the waves. There were many activities offered and the meals tasted good and were presented nicely. Beach chairs and towels were always available. Enjoyed the swimup pool bar.

To say our stay was perfect is an understatement. We traveled alone for a private ceremony followed immediately by our honeymoon. Kudos to this resort for such a memorable experience!

I am blown away by how amazing our stay was at Nanuku. The resort itself is beautiful but the staff is what made our stay so special. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much for them. They know your name, providing you a very personalised service. I cried when I saw new people coming to the hotel because I was so excited for them to be able to experience what I was experiencing and I cried when I left the hotel because I no longer was going to be apart of the Nanuku family. The food was absolutely excellent. All dishes were to a high standard. Alcohol was expensive but all soft drinks are included. I very rarely would stay at the same hotel twice but I cannot wait to come back to Nanuku.

I booked this trip with Costco travel. I’m a big fan of Costco travel as they put together entire packages with resorts, transport including flight and ground. The resort worked seamlessly with our Costco reservation. I did see some obnoxious reviews from others stating the food was not good and staff was slow. I completely disagree. The staff is incredibly personable, professional, and has the highest level of training. The nanny service being 1:1 is amazing for families who enjoy to bring their children on holiday. The resort is very child friendly including outings in bike rides, playing at the pool, and basket weaving. For adults, the activities offered are both fun and range in level of adventure. The activity guides were personable and very kind. The restaurant wow’ed myself & my husband on a daily basis. The menu rotated with new daily options. There were excellent options for children as well. The coffee bar was outstanding, the cappuccino was pristine snd appropriately strong. The rooms were spacious and villa mama staff kept the rooms well stocked with a lot of small touches to make it feel special. I would hands down recommend this resort for an all around amazing experience. And yes, restaurants are on island time. So the comment made about staff being slow is obscene. The restaurant provides meals that are coursed and not rushed like a true upper tier restaurant would. However when our children were getting rowdy and we requested items to go the restaurant provided us an option of taking our desserts to go.

Going to Fiji was on my bucket list of places I wanted to visit. I am so glad we chose Nanuku Resort. The resort provided a once in a lifetime experience for my husband and I as we celebrated our 30th Anniversary. Upon arrival, everyone is greeted with a traditional Fijian Warrior and coconut greeting, which is a picture perfect opportunity. We purchased the all-inclusive meal package, which included breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. The food was fresh, delicious, and the chef customized a special dinner for our anniversary, Three meals were a bit more than we needed, but it was a nice option to have. Again, their customer service shined even when we didn't show up for a meal. The staff would call to ask if we were planning to join, or if we wanted our meal delivered to our room. That was something we weren't expecting and really made us feel special. Besides the location of the property and the gorgeous views of the ocean and the surrounding islands, I would have to say that customer service was outstanding. From the management to the landscapers, each person did whatever they could to make sure you have an exceptional stay. Each member of the staff remembered your name, likes, food choices, and were always available to provide options inside and outside the resort while you were there. (For example, on the second day, our water pressure was very low in the morning. The Assistant Manager, came and introduced himself and asked if everything was okay. I told him about the water pressure, he apologized, and by the time we made it back to the room, the water pressure was at full blast, as well as they brought a complimentary bottle of wine.) Every member of staff treated each person and family as though they were special. Being there for our anniversary, we saw how the staff provided the same experience for families as they did for us as a couple. We appreciated our alone time, but also enjoyed seeing families enjoying a similar experience. We booked through Costco Travel, so there were some additional options as part of our package, including airfare, transportation to and from the resort, resort credits that could be used for spa treatments or other excursions, as well as entrance to the Fiji Airways Premium lounge for the return trip. We would recommend Nanuku Resort for anyone seeking a once in a lifetime experience.

The service was incredible and very personalized. They arranged our travel to and from the resort, and then when my daughter was sick and not up to flying, they extended our stay and rearranged our departure travel. The staff came with a personal "get well" note and some treats for her, and checked to see if we needed a doctor. I would definitely return.

My wife and I just finished our honeymoon here and it was amazing. The resort was beautiful. I don't think we've ever stayed anywhere this nice. The staff was so welcoming. They seemed genuinely happy to have us there and we were genuinely sad to leave. Hopefully we can return some day. Our trip started and ended with a seamless transfer between the airport and hotel. The drive was long (2.5 hours) but it was easy. I suspect the long drive and the fact that it was the shoulder season contributed to the resort not being too crowded which we loved. We really felt like we got personal attention. We were given a really cool greeting and our room (which was ready way earlier than we thought) had some nice personal touches in recognition of our honeymoon. The hotel grounds were beautiful and we were shown around and even brought on a nearby hike by one of the staff where we had an amazing view. They also have bikes that you can use to get from your room to the pool or reception or anywhere on the grounds which was nice. We used the bikes to drive to the far end of the resort where we left them with a security guard while we walked into town. There wasn't much of a town nearby but there was a pretty decent restaurant called The Establishment which we went to for lunch once. It had really reasonable prices so we checked it out. The food at the hotel itself was great but we were trying to vacation on a budget so we only ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was included and was so great. We tried pretty much everything on the hot menu in the week we were there but loved the crab omelette the most. We also loaded up on the baked goods in the buffet so we wouldn't be as hungry for lunch. On our first day the hotel had someone drive us to the grocery door nearby to do some grocery shopping where we got some sandwich stuff and snacks for lunch. The price for the transportation was pretty reasonable for the 10 minute drive we thought. We booked a massage through the hotel which was really a nice experience but other than that we ended up booking an excursion through Viator rather than through the hotel directly to save some money which I think worked out for us. The hotel had its own activities which were nice although we didn't really seek them out and kind of did our own thing. Management drinks you should definitely do though. They will give you free wine or beer, some light appetizers, and you can try Kava while you're chatting with the staff!

If you are after an all encompassing Fiji experience without the cost of comfort, this is the place for you. A variety of daily activities, fantastic dining options, interesting cultural experiences and relaxing massage and spa options all in the comfort of luxurious accomodation. Highly recommend. The special thing about Nanuka is the staff, they created a personal touch to our trip that we will never forget!
