I spent one night at the Pahrump Nugget while visiting Death Valley. The best thing about it was a very good price. It was otherwise adequate. The room was OK, clean and comfortable. But, being a ******, there is a lot of smoke in the building, and you can't check in or get to your room without inhaling more than your fair share of smoke. That was a big downer for me. Location-wise, it's about 60 miles from Death Valley, not horrible for the region's standards, and the road back to the park is lovely. Pahrump is not a particularly pleasant place (a spread-out mish-mash of homes and businesses with little character), but it has the necessary amenities.

The hotel was comfortable and has easy access to multiple fast foods nearby! The only concern we had is the smell of cigarettes everywhere even in the non-smoking areas like the elevators and some hallways. All in all, the stay was fitting for the price. The hotel itself is just very outdated but nonetheless their beddings are super comfortable!!!

In all fairness, the town of Pahrump at this point, could not support a nice above average hotel. So….we stayed here because the person we were there to celebrate an 80th birthday with was staying there. Not a fan of smelly casinos either which is what subsidizes the hotel. So for $100 per night, what can you expect??

The hotel staff was fantastic. We needed to make some changes to our stay and the staff handled quickly and professionally,
The check in staff were very pleasant and helpful!

The room was nice and it was large and it was clean. But the air conditioner was so noisy that you could not run it. It started out OK then a horrible noise like a freight train started up. Also a unit in the hall when you got off, the elevator was extremely noisy. They need to maintain their heating and air-conditioning equipment better.
