A wonderful stay at The Painswick - the hotel is beautiful, the staff are lovely - very friendly, welcoming and super-efficient and the food in the restaurant is fantastic. Can't recommend highly enough - an absolute gem of a hotel. We had the most relaxing couple of days in a beautiful and peaceful location.

Had lovely afternoon tea, as present from friends. Both standard and vegetarian were very good - nicely balanced so there was just the right amount. Sat inside, but nice garden we could also have satin. Staff very friendly. Certainly recommend this

Absolutely perfect! We stayed three nights here in the George's Suite on an extended trip of the Cotswolds for our 40th anniversary. The balcony, the sitting room, the most comfortable beds, the luxurious bathroom, the amazing hotel restaurant--all of it exceeded our expectations. Thank you for your brilliant care of us during our stay. We can't say enough about the hospitality, amazing restaurant, spectacular views--we are so pleased. We hope to be able to stay with you in the future.

This hotel is absolutely superb and the staff are exceptional. We’ve returned from a weekend celebrating a family birthday. The food, the service, the care and attention to every detail was excellent. The hotel is beautiful but the wonderful team really make it and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending or going again!

Simply superb! We were treated to a fabulous evening meal for our Anniversary and oh my what a treat. Such a gem of a hotel in the Cotswolds. The staff were just brilliant, the food was incredible, amazing selection of wine and service was exceptional. We can not wait to return and try the tasting menu!

My husband and I just got back from London and going to the Cotswolds was on the top of my bucket list. We stayed in Painswick instead of one of the busier villages. We still were able to visit them all with just a short car ride. We had the best experience at this hotel. It was beautiful, and so comfortable, from the amenities in the room to the cosy sitting areas all over the hotel. The staff was all so nice, and went above and beyond. They even printed a map for us and gave us advice on visiting all the other villages in the Cotswolds. The breakfast was delicious and varied and the dinner was so amazing we decided to eat all our meals there. We look forward to going back and we won’t stay anywhere but the Painswick.

Visited with my daughter and her partners mother who lives locally . We had a delicious afternoon tea . The scotch eggs especially were lovely . The sandwiches were tasty as were the scones and assorted cakes . The amount too was just right ! Location excellent and a really lovely hotel / restaurant .

Amazing hotel. Lovely room. Excellent dinner and fantastic breakfast. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. This hotel is a real gem. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here. Lovely place. Located right in the centre of Painswick so a nice place from which to explore the village.

Booked a few rooms to enjoy a holiday with family & friends and WOW, what a treat! Lovely rooms, slightly quirky interior, relaxing bar and fabulous food from breakfast to a three course evening meal. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive…. Already booked again for next year.
