Hotel Dos Mundos Panajachel

I stayed at several places in Panajachel, and Dos Mundos was at the top of the list. I enjoyed the facilities and location it was near the lake and Calle Santander, which is the busiest street in the town. Although it was in the center of the town, it was quite quiet, and I had a wonderful sleep. Not to mention the food at the restaurant was great, the best authentic Italian food in town.

Great location and great area.. Garden, small pool, quiet... Now rooms could be renewed. Especially beds that are too hard.. Finally breakfast is not good... Too little quantity and very limited. And not very good . Also had to 'negotiate' to get a third cup of coffee.. Only two were included!! So good hotel for a short stop in the area

Wonderful hotel in a great location to access the lake, restaurants, and shopping. The rooms are first class. Very neat, clean and comfortable. The courtyard is a lovely place to hang out for a rest. Staff is great. The one morning we ate breakfast in the hotel dining room we found the service was somewhat limited. Highly recommend.

These pictures show it all! Not only did I get served raw chicken but the 'manager' who saw it all, decided to hide inside, shut the windows and pretend he wasn't there. It was only when the poor young waitress came out to say she was sorry but I had been offered another dish so it was my choice not to take it (at this stage I was gagging into a napkin from what I had already eaten) that my husband got really upset and said we would be leaving unless we heard from the manager. They took off an extra US$7 from our bill and pointed out that they had removed my raw chicken dish from the bill. I really don't know what to say and what was worse, a so called 'manager' behaving in such an embarrassing way and leaving a young waitress to deal with issues well above her pay grade or a restaurant serving raw chicken and their excuse was.... "Someone else cut it into pieces that were too large , it wasn't the chef's fault and we offered you the dish again 😱😱😱" Take your own risk going here. Also just a side note they don't have cheddar cheese, it's just squeeze cheese from a bottle despite what the menu says 😂😂 don't take my word for it....go and risk food poisoning and a ruined meal, good luck. Or as they said to us "muy bien y buen provecho" ....after my meal🙄😔

nice hotel great location friendly staffs

For the most part it was great, the only problem was in regards a towel that they didn’t even wash and told me it was a stain on it. They just went ahead and charged me 10 dollars for it, that it wasn’t even worth that amount. Besides that it was a good place to stay.

The amenities were perfect, room was cozy, service was great for the most part. The only complain was in regards a towel that got dirty and the staff didn’t even try to wash it saying that the stain wouldn’t come off. They just went ahead to charge about 10 dollars for a towel that it wasn’t even have a value that high. I wish they would have treat us differently in this regard. It was very upsetting. I wish another resolution would have been taken

La atención del personal increíble, son muy atentos. La comida es exquisita como siempre, comimos ahí todos los días y ansiamos poder volver a visitarlos. Es un lugar muy tranquilo cerca del Lago y con parqueo seguro, nos encanta ir en familia.
