Econo Lodge Panguitch Near Bryce Canyon

We chose this location due to its proximity to Bryce and Zion National Parks. The rooms have been renovated and were nice with a comfy bed , but the bathroom in our room seemed to be excluded from the renovation and was a bit outdated. There was an old window style AC/heater that had a missing power button so we couldn’t turn it off. Breakfast was lackluster and there wasn’t enough seating to accommodate just a few guests. Price was right for what we needed which was a place to rest and clean up after hiking through National Parks. It was a decent value as long as you manage your expectations.

The property has been updated. The room had new flooring. This property is listed as a days inn and it is actually an Econo lodge. I would never intentionally stay at an econo lodge, but this property was actually nice

The room was in poor condition, because they were remodeling and still renting it out while unfinished.

I was over charged for my 2 night stay. This room was not worth $149 a night. It was listed as $85 a night online. I told the desk man and he refused my conversation about it.

The property had changed names to Econolodge the day prior and we weren't notified of the change. The ice machine was broken. The breakfast was lame. However, the staff were friendly and the room was clean. I hope the name change brings some much needed improvements.

First the pros: The room was clean and the housekeeping staff are very helpful and happy to help if you need anything. Also, you won't have a problem with hot water - if anything you might scald yourself it's that hot. The cons: It's a rather dilapidated looking place from the outside. The parking lot is in dire need of resurfacing. There's often trash and other junk laying about (see pics). Some stairs are outright dangerous and are a lawsuit waiting to happen. With these stairs, the metal facing is clearing separating from each stair, leaving a gap large enough for, say, a toe to get stuck in and potentially resulting in a tumble. More cons: Inside in room, the desk was so wobbly, just resting your elbows on it would cause the whole thing to sway. The security bar for the door had no latch on the door to secure it to (see pic). Also, the Wi-Fi was extremely flaky and would constantly disconnect you. Breakfast: I didn't have the courage to try it based on how the property itself looked. Overall: It's fine if you just need a bed for the night, but the owner should really try harder. Or just even try.

TV channels were baffling. Usually channels not subscribed are greyed out. But all channels looked available. As far as my experimenting went, feel like maybe 10 channels. For the price, I didn’t expect premium channels, but still felt stingy

Facility needs a lot of work. Heater/ac unit diid not work so we were uncomfortable throughout out the night. Only basic TV channels. Door latch was insecure, the screws were not embedded solidly . No nonslip pad in the shower, although they had one grab bar. Bedding thin. Breakfast just okay: sausage and scrambled eggs warm. Maybe left over from yesterday? No plastic knives available. Staff reported the hadn’t arrived yet. I give up on staying at a Days Inn!
