Lovely place with free afternoon tea. Walking distance to Main Street. Wish could come here in a better weather next time

I’ll start by saying i had a private shared transfer booked to Paraty that never picked me up or answered so i ended up taking the regular bus which was super convenient, inexpensive and comfy (and most likely a much better experience than what i initially had booked). I had booked the transfer super early so that i can have a full day in Paraty but god had other plans for me. I must say if i hadn’t had the pre booked reservation at this property i would have probably canceled my trip to Paraty but luckily everything worked out. I arrived at the property by the evening and was greeted with a warm welcome by Renata, such a lovely person(just like everyone on this property). The space is beautiful and so peaceful, made me disconnect and really take time to myself. I had an economy double room which was lovely, cozy and sooo comfy. The breakfast and snacks for coffee/tea time was amazing, everything was soo delicious. Renata and Camille both helped me book excursions and answered any questions i had throughout my stay. They have a space to hold your luggage after checkout so that you can go about your day on the town, they also have a bathroom where you can freshen up when you are ready to leave. I initially booked for two nights and ended up extending one more night. I hope to one day revisit this place, everyone is just soo nice 🥹❤️

Everything was amazing. Breakfast is much better than the pictures show... the structure was clean and organized...staff was excellent and they have good english. The Tea time was a good surprise.

Close to old town without being in the middle of a noisy area. Lovely rooms and wonderful breakfast and afternoon coffee cake time

The perfect, quiet place for a few days in Paraty. The rooms are maintained to a high standard and very clean. The staff are amazing as well and very helpful. Breakfast is simple but well presented and good.

We loved the 3 nights we stayed here and would have loved to stay longer! Would 100% recommend. Cleanliness: This is the top priority for me when looking for somewhere to stay and Carpe Diem definitely ticked that box! Location: This is perfectly situated just a few minutes walk outside of the main historical centre. Breakfast: Great to have the omelette/tapioca option with a variety of fillings! There was always a good breakfast selection (fruit, bread, yoghurts, cereal) even when we arrived later one morning. The afternoon cakes each day were also delicious! Personnel: Seamless check in. We felt welcomed and all staff were always friendly. Negatives: No negatives apart from the ceiling is rather low when exiting down the steps and my boyfriend hit his head (hard!) one day. Perhaps they could advise us of this when checking in and make a “watch your head” sign more obvious.

We were sad to leave here, which says a lot! Beautiful quaint hotel perfectly located for the historic town of Paraty, literally a 3 minute walk away! Our 2 rooms were in a separate building which shared a quiet, pretty courtyard area. Rooms were clean, spacious, well equipped with comfortable beds. The mini bar items were very reasonably priced. Breakfast was always delicious with a great selection of hot and cold items. We also really enjoyed the afternoon tea and again delicious cakes! Camilli , the manager, spoke excellent English and a positive guest experience was always her priority. The other hotel staff didn’t speak English but nowadays this isn’t a problem with Google translate and everyone was always super friendly! The main public area of the pousada with the pool, chill-out area and restaurant was so pretty and tranquil. It was a shame the pool wasn’t heated - my kids found it a little too cold for swimming but I think this is the norm in Brazil. My only very small negative was that we’d used the laundry service for a lot of items and it wasn’t until afterwards that I’d realised one of the items - brand new for the trip - hadn’t been returned to me (partly my fault for not checking through everything before check out). Camilli did try to arrange for it to be sent to our next destination but it was unfortunately too late. All in all, a super little pousada and I would 100% recommend a stay here.

Excellent!! Look no further, this is the place to stay while visiting Paraty! The rooms are spacious and clean. Great service, you will look forward to 5pm for coffee, tea and delicious orange cake. Breakfast is delicious with homemade eggs your way, fruit and various breads. The staff is kind and generous with their time. They helped book us a boat with a sailor to take us island hopping for the day. The best $240USD for a family of 4 to spend a sunny afternoon. The location is great as well, just a 5 min walk into town.
