Casa Turquesa - Maison d´Hôtes

Casa Turquesa is a great place to stay in Paraty. We stayed for 4 nights. Good location, near the port / boat pier. Easy walking distance to all the main sights in Paraty. Great service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great cooked to order breakfast in the morning. The room was large, clean, and up to date. Everything in the room was in good working order. A very nice place for a stay in Paraty.

Casa Turquesa is one of our now favorite places in the world. We have traveled extensively and can say with all sincerity that this is one of the most lovely, charming, beautifully decorated, wonderfully run small luxury boutique properties we have ever had the pleasure to be welcomed into. We stayed in the "white room," an oasis of calm and beauty. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed as if we were old friends of the owners of a gorgeously renovated mansion in the historic town of Paraty. Our bed was beyond comfortable (and surrounded by a mosquito net - how romantic! - that the staff let down in the evening and tied up again in the morning). Water pressure in the shower was excellent and the toiletries were delightful -smelling and gentle on the skin. Fresh filtered water was delivered to the room every night before bed and available in the reception area of the hotel at no charge. Every night on turndown, we received a little surprise from the casa - chocolates but also souvenirs from the casa like a magnetic bookmark or a branded recycled materials tote bag. Since guests are asked not to wear their outdoor shoes inside, guests are given a pair of Havainas flip flops upon check-in, and you can take them home upon departure. The breakfast was delicious, freshly made and quite varied. Most importantly, I cannot sing enough praises to the staff. This is a truly exceptional and warm group of people, every one of them. We felt so welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We have rarely felt so much genuine pleasure from staff at a hotel - so kudos to both the obviously carefully chosen staff members as well as to management for fostering this atmosphere. When we left, we vowed to each other that we would return.

The rooms could not be nicer, the staff could not be more perfect, anticipating any want or need. So cozy. The location is perfect. I have been there many times and will return as often as I can. Breakfast is magnificent and so is the afternoon cake after coming back from a boat day. Staff takes care of everything for you in Parati. Just perfect.

Best boutique hotel ever. We felt like we were treated like royalty, even though we rented the smallest room. Even little gifts left on our pillow every night. Just luxurious, including the fantastic (and free!) breakfast. The hotel even arranged a private boat and fantastic driver at the last minute for a cost far less than if we went to a tour operator. Can't recommend this place enough - just exquisite.

My husband and I just arrived from a couple of amazing days in Paraty and our stay at Casa Turquesa was one of the highlights of the trip. From the arrival where we were greeted with delicious cake and tea, to the bright spacious room, delicious breakfast, decor details and little presents at turn down service Tete, Celine, Dalvina, Jeferson, Richard and the entire staff made sure we had the best experience! They also helped us booking a great city tour with Gabriel & incredible boat tour with Deivid (we don’t have their instagrams or contacts but also highly recommend so if you stay at Casa Turquesa make sure to enjoy those too). Thanks a lot CT team. We miss you and this incredible place already.

I've traveled all over the world and stayed in numerous luxury accommodations, and Casa Turquesa may be the most detail-oriented inn I've ever booked. From the moment I walked in the door, I was treated like family—or was it royalty? Perhaps both? The owner was ever present, and her staff was endlessly attentive and kind. I would visit Paraty again if only for the opportunity to stay in this wonderful space!
