Room layout and furnishings unfortunately differed considerably from photos, was very loud both at check-in and especially the next morning when trying to sleep in on a Sunday. Room was supposed to have slippers. Front desk informed me upon asking that only the cabin has them. No tea or tea kettle in room. Was given some tea upon asking but told to use the Nespresso machine for hot water. Unfortunately the water that came out was brown, with lots of black specks, presumably from the buildup of coffee pods. Heating kept auto turning off when the temp hit 20 degrees. Sink water pressure is too high for the little water glasses so it shot everywhere. Shower leaks. While I appreciate the wheel upon check-in for a "free item" I won a glass of wine and am quite sick so can't drink at the moment. Would have been a nice gesture when I asked if I could swap it out for something else, like breakfast given the circumstances, to make a one-time exception. Also, the emails around check-in are ill-timed. I received my checkin email after I’d already checked out. Pillows are all wrong — one is too thin and the other too bloated. Really uncomfortable to sleep on.
What I liked: friendly staff, quality of the towels. House toiletries. The manager responded timely to my feedback but unfortunately missed the points and acted as if I wasn’t clear as to the room type I’d booked when I’m actually quite clear.
