Rue d'Amsterdam was a lively street, but not overly busy. The street was generally very quiet but also nice to see activity out the window. We did not experience any loud neighbors or bars There's a nice selection of boulangeries nearby (we really liked Maison Dujardin the best) and the mall at Gare St. Lazare had a ton of shops and food. Being able to walk to Gare St. Lazare was a huge plus, as you could catch most all Metro lines out of the station. Can recommend this location for that access alone. There were some good supermarkets nearby (we shopped at Monoprix which had good selection) and the Passage du Havre mall is a few blocks away which looks like a high end shopping mall. For those that are going to Disneyland Paris, you can pickup the RER-A within a 15 minute walk from the apartment. We thought the building was very safe with two separate key-coded entrances. We also did not see a lot people coming and going which was nice. There is a central courtyard but it was very quiet. The elevator there is very small, but was big enough to get our luggage up in a few trips, and could fit two people max. However, very handy to have for those long days of walking. Building interiors were old, but that didn't affect our stay at all. We were all staying in 1 apartment, but if you had multiple families this location could be ideal since you could rent multiple apartments in the same building. We stayed in the 3 bed/2bath apartment (Amsterdam 31) and found it to be just as shown in the photos. It was very spacious for us (3 adults and 2 teenagers). The apartment had dual-paned windows and so was very comfortable from a noise and temperature perspective. Beds were all very comfortable and we slept great. The curtains kept the rooms nice and dark for sleeping as well. We could hear neighbors, but the sound wasn't too bad. The apartment was very clean and well-stocked with supplies. They had cooking basics like Olive Oil, Vinegar, Salt & Pepper, etc. We had a broken wine opener, but didn't let that stop us. Our on-site contact met us at check-in and showed us around the apartment and how to operate everything. He spoke very good English so there was no language barrier there. The design/updates to the space were very nice and was one of the main reasons I booked this location. It also was one of the very few places that had a King-sized bed as well as bunk beds and 3 bedrooms with doors that closed. It felt like a classic Parisian apartment with modern upgrades. The apartment came with the following items, all which were in good operation: - Clothes washing machine (no dryer, but there was a drying rack) - Dishwasher - Toaster - Nespresso coffee maker - Heating and A/C (although we didn't use them) - Mini Fridge - Electric stovetop (no oven) - Microwave - Hair dryer - Iron and ironing board - Television - Electric kettle - Plenty of electric outlets There is a hot water heater in the space, but we did find that we need
