Best Western Anjou Lafayette Opera

Everything was good except we could hear neighbors ~ The staff and service were really good 👍🏻. Also, the location was good because you have very close to the hotel, subway, supermarket and some nice restaurants.

I am deeply disappointed with this hotel in Paris. I booked this place from London in the middle of the night expecting it to book for the next day once I arrived in Paris. I booked right after midnight and did not see that they were selling me a room for this night that had passed. In about ten minutes I had my confirmation from Trip.com and once I read it, I realized that they sold me a reservation for the past night. I contacted them immediately and they called to hotel to change this night to the correct day when I arrived in that afternoon. Not 20 minuets had passed since I booked this and expected an easy adjus**ent. To my surprise they refused to cancel the two rooms I reserved. I asked the agent on what we can do. She said to check in the morning. I did and had the same result. A waste of over $300. Is business so bad that they need to steal my money? I was not even in Paris that night. I travel internationally for a living, and this will be the last Best Western Hotel I will ever stay at. If this is typical of how this company treats their customers, then I can only imagine what other disappoin**ents this property would cause their customers. AVOID THIS PROPERTY.

Very nice small hotel across the avenue from a small park. The hotel decor was modern and appealing. Great location between two close-by metro stations and plenty of restaurants, cafes, and bars in the nearby area. Extremely convenient to get to Gare du Nord and Gare de la Est. We had a well-appointed 16m room, pleasantly colorful, as in the photos. It had a coffee maker and small refrigerator. Our room was on the fifth floor facing the street. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small, but had great water pressure and lots of hot water. However, the high tub is problematic for guests with mobility difficulties. I don't know if any rooms have walk-in showers. Wifi was problem-free. I appreciated the good lighting even for a smallish room. The room was a little cold and the climate control was disabled except for the fan. Apparently, the temperature (at least in this season) is centrally he controlled. The hotel is a half block from a main thoroughfare (Rue de Lafayette), so a lot of night-time street noise echoed into our sidestreet, plus the low rumble that you can feel from the metro. Typical problems for hotels in that area according to the reviews I've read. We were there on a windy night and the double-pane windows didn't shut out the wind noise completely. One definite problem is that the electric sockets seem worn out. They didn't always work due to looseness and our charger cords kept falling out. I recognize that popular midrange hotels get a lot of wear and tear. The desk personnel were friendly. Breakfast, unfortunately, was underwhelming. Typical cold buffet breakfast, but it seemed to be lacking a few items. I've had better at other BW properties. I researched other area hotels extensively before booking and, overall, I think was a very good choice at a good price for the area.

Nice little hotel in a relatively quiet side streets off Rue Lafayette, at walking distance from Gare du Nord train station and line-7 metro stations. Friendly and helpful staff, small but comfortable and clean rooms. Breakfast offering is limited, but good enough to start the day. Plenty of good restaurants and bars in the area.

Very friendly staff and clean room. The size of the room is a bit small but considering the convenient location, it is a good balance. The breakfast does not have too much cereal options but it is overall decent.

Three day stay was wonderful in the centrally located hotel with superb staff and cozy rooms. The hotel manager reaches out before our stay and we felt welcomed from the moment we stepped inside the hotel. Though we arrived early we were able to access the room early. The hotel has breakfast options. We really appreciated arranging a taxi to the airport for 4:30 am, the lady driving was wonderful.

The room was bigger than expected. It was nice, clean and cool. The staff was welcoming and even stored our bags on our last day so we could do more sightseeing. Breakfast was phenomenal. The location of the hotel was also perfect. It was right next to a metro line. There were a ton of restaurants within walking distance. If we return to Paris we will definitely stay here again.

A well-located hotel close to Métro lines, buses, and walking distance to both Gare de l’Est and Gare du Nord (for Eurostar and RER to CDG airport.) On a quiet side street in the center of restaurants and bars, bakeries and food shops. Very walkable and close to parks. Like all hotels in Paris, the rooms are small, but have armoires for storage and nice modern bathrooms. Spotlessly maintained. Good cable TV but no CNN if that matters to you. Reliable high-speed WiFi. The buffet breakfast is very good, with the full range of fresh bread, cheeses and cold meat, yogurt and cereal, and passable fruit salad. Made-from-scratch scrambled eggs (but no bacon.) Fresh coffee and good juice. Welcoming and helpful staff in the breakfast area. Staff at the reception were helpful and spoke English. Friendliness varied. We stayed for four nights and then returned for one night after a side trip to Troyes. During high season one night reservations are not available but since we were returning the hotel allows it. We thought it was petty to charge us 2€ per bag per night to leave our luggage in the empty store room off the lobby—the first time this has ever happened to us, in any hotel anywhere, and we travel a lot.

I have staying here for almost a decade…they treat me like family.😎
