This is the first time I've pursued a refund on a hotel because this place really was upsetting, almost ironically awful. The pictures don't convey how dirty the floors and walls are, and of course how loud it was. We had a water boiler on the other side of our bedroom wall, meaning that whenever anyone on our floor used the bathroom, our whole room vibrated. The windows were also paper thin, meaning that any noise from the street below kept us awake as if the windows were open, and we were 4 floors up... The staff and management were lazy and reluctant to change my room for the 2nd night, fortunately I insisted before they gave up and gave me a new room. But this grotesque women behind the reception was just a misery to deal with, and seemed more interested in the cleaner who appeared to be chatting her up. In the following weeks both myself and *********** tried to contact the hotel to pursue a refund, but they ignored all contact for 2 weeks before refusing any form of compensation, even though their number one assurance is a good night's sleep. I feel robbed of £280, and upset that they can getaway with such inexcusable service. Overall, don't visit this dump, try the bigger Ibis down the road, where you might get your money's worth.
